She weirdly tapped with her feet on the ground playing with her hands. "Here" Minho placed a drink infront of her "you know I better go, sorry for the incident" she was about to stand up again but he placed himself infront of her "Forget it. You can't just go after that" He complained so she sat back down."So what happened?" He took a seat next to her "nothing I guess", he sighed "you can be honest with me" He locked eyes "I don't wanna burden you", "burden? Why would you think that? Did someone say this to you, was it Hyunjin?" His assuming almost shocked her "I knew it was him" he mumbled.
"He didn't directly say that. He just mentioned... forget it why would I even tell you", "you ain't wasting my time with that Maejin, you're important to me" this felt like the direct opposite Hyinjin had said. "Really, I'm just... retrospective" Minho faced forward thinking about what she had said "it affected you more than it should didn't it?", "no" she answered "You're terrible at lying. You always were" he said "please you don't need to tell me everything you're thinking" Maejin rolled her eyes crossing her arms.
"Fine, I'm okay with you not telling me. I can think of what happened anyway. Nevertheless you were the one that started crying infront of me sinking into my hugging arms acting like nothing happened between us. What is with the 'I don't wanna talk right now' or 'let's keep distance I need time to think first'." She was almost overwhelmed by him exposing her this much.
She opened her mouth to say something and Minho was ready to hear it all "... you know I really don't owe you an explanation, I better go", "so you just gonna leave me here with hopes just like Hyunjin" Maejin immediately stopped her steps "he may forgive you like that, but I'm not this kind of person. I won't complain about you now because I think we argued enough and I really don't want us to get on distance so you better be sure of what you're really feeling. Because this time I'm not ready to wait, I think you owe me an answer I tried hard enough already letting you complain about me all along" as if this with Hyunjin just wasn't enough, now Minho did the same.
They both want answers from her and she assumes the one she gave Hyunjin was already clear enough, now only Minhos left. He was right, she can't just leave like that.
As hard as she tried to answer, she couldn't put anything in words. "Well..." didn't she just regret coming into Minhos life? On the other hand she was sure she really needed him just a few minutes ago. But then again, it would only burden him and might 'waste time' but he said he wouldn't mind that? He didn't seem as patient as Hyunjin, so she better make up her mind quick.
She looked around the room as she spotted a great way to escape seeing the oven "damn it" Minho squinted his eyes at that "I forgot I had something left in my oven" she faced him with big eyes "wait really? Is it still on?" She felt bad for lying but it felt like the only way, probably the wrong one though "yeah I think so", "should I check?" Minho requested "huh? Uhh no no. I'll handle that alone. Well bye then, let's talk another time" she took her jacket leaving the untouched drink on the desk almost running out.
Maejin closed her door right after entering and before she could fully exhale Minhos voice echoed "Are you alright?" She turned around standing actually right infront of him just with a door in between. Maejin faced the floor "wait maejin are you okay?" His voice sounded more concerned, until his hand carefully opened the door outwards revealing her standing there "huh?" He looked around her room "is the oven okay?"
"Yeah" she mumbled "woah it's so pretty here" he just entered without asking. She thought he might be more shocked about the fact that she literally lied to him "Don't worry, I know you only used that as an excuse to not answer my question. Whether it tells me that you don't know what to say yet or you're just... scared?" It was almost scary how she was so predictable to him. He was always great in knowing people's next move or knowing what they think, he's just in general smart. Didn't help her in this situation though.
"It's not like that okay? Right now I actually have enough in my mind, really I'm not in the mood for that" She just changed up real fast which gave him mixed feelings. He really doesn't want to wait. He wants her so bad it's upsetting, worse is the mistake of ever letting her go. If only she could make up her mind faster...
"Fine I'll go" he nodded. As soon as he closed the door behind him Maejin breathed out, she walked over to her couch and sat down. I was never wanted by anyone, but suddenly I seem so interesting. What has changed, going through bad times only gives you more hearts to break afterwards. What is so special about having me in your life, at the end I'm just an unimportant part of it.
Suddenly her phone buzzed
Jinnie
I didn't mean to make you upset I hope you didn't get me wrong with what I said... maybe I was too harsh. I hope you won't feel uncomfortable around me now
Maejin
I hope U won't feel weird around me now. I know I sort of messed up, and I'm sorry about that
Jinnie
Hmm, well let's first not meet. As weird as it might sound but let me try get over you first. I don't wanna be the one making it awkward between us. And also you can still tell me if you have problems it's not like that
Maejin
Yea I get it. I know you will still listen to all my worries, but I don't want you to feel like my sort of therapist. You're right, I can also handle things on my own now, thanks for being honest with me. I really didn't know that you felt this way
Jinnie
You make me feel bad rn
Maejin
No no its really not like that don't worry
Hyunjin placed his phone down sighing as it suddenly rang at the door. He frowned unsure who it could be. He reached the door turning on the the small monitor to see who was the one visiting him. It was a man with a cap on, he first couldn't tell until he raised his head looking directly into the camera. That's when hyunjins heart froze, he took one step back, then another. This can't be...
