I walked into the gym, slinging my gym bag over my shoulders. It carries my water, my boxing gloves, extra shorts and an extra shirt, 2 pairs of shoes, boxers, socks, and a granola bar.

What? I get hungry too. 😒

Farkle's sitting on the bench next to the second punching bag.
My favorite one.

I sighed.

I'm not ready for Farkle. He's also joking around or messin', or kind-of 50/50 on jokes/seriousness.
Now../ its 100% serious.

He got up and motioned me over. I nervously walked over to Farkle.

"Hey, Lucas." Farkle smiled. He looked nervous, too.

"Hey, Farkle." I smiled awkwardly.

Farkle suddenly stopped smiling. He looked at me seriously. "Lucas, you and Riley were known as the most broken couple in the entire school."

My mouth hung open. What..?

"Lucas," Farkle continued, "you guys still are. That's why rumors are starting."

I choked back my words. "F-Farkle, why didn't y-you tell me..."

He gulped. "I was protecting you. I didn't know you'd both come back."

I looked at Farkle, then got up and punched the punching bag... hard.
"Farkle, you could've warned me!" I screamed. "I didn't- didn't want this to happen!"

The punching bag retreated, me stopping it before it hit Farkle in the face. Farkle flinched.

"It's h-her fault!" I screamed. "It's always been her fault!"

I was about to attack the bag, but Farkle pulled me back. "Lucas, please-"

I looked at him, bewildered. "Don't even start, Farkle! She cheated on me!"

Farkle threw me down on the bench.
Damn, he's strong now.

"Lucas, calm down." He said soothingly, still shaking his voice. "It's over, okay? I'm sorry."

I put my head in my hands. "It's all my fault....."

Farkle's eyes went to mine. "Yours?"

I shook. "Mine."
