"Uh," Marella says, looking at Sophie. She returns her gaze and just shrugs. Then she asks me, "Why?" I try to be sympathetic: "I haven't seen him for a full two years. I just want to meet him. You know what it's like to lose your parents?"

It worked. Everyone looked at me pityingly and sophie looks at the floor. Fitz tries to put an arm around her again, but again she pushes it back coldly. He looked hurt but said nothing.

Dex looked at everyone in turn. He shares the confusion with the others. "I think we've gotten a bit off topic." Sophie looks at Fitz's arm - which was now lying on his lap - and her cheeks began to blush a little. I look at them both a little curiously. And now Linh had the too Worst Idea Ever: "Maybe we should ask the High Council for their opinion."

"The High Council can certainly help you.", I recognized a well-known voice next to me, as the others started to discuss. "But unfortunately I have to kidnap Mister Sencen and Miss Pyren into my office now." At the word 'kidnapping', Sophie flinches. What does that have to do with? Magnate Leto gives her a quick apologetic look.

,,Wow! It's really changed a lot since I was last here." Keefe shakes his head in disbelief and surveys the room. It was huge and all glass - which makes sense, after all the pyramid was also glass - and in the In the middle was a table with a chair. No more and no less. I had to admit, I was amazed too. "Well, since your last visit, Mister Sencen, we've had to renovate a few things. I hope you like it." "Of course, it's my work!" he says with a grin.

"What happened?" I ask while looking a little lost between the two. "That's a story for another time," Magnate Leto turns to me. "Now we have to talk about your behavior. Both of you." "Behavior? But aren't we exemplary students?" He interrupts him. Keefe sticks out his chest and puts a hand on it. "Not at all!" I hear Sir Andoin - the person I hate most at the moment - walk into the room. His hair hung to his sides with a perfect shine, as always, and his chin stuck up.

"I was in class," I say innocently, blinking my eyelashes. Sir Andoin snorts, "If you call three minutes class, then yes." He tossed his hair in annoyance. "We're here to discuss this problem," says magnate Leto calmly, motioning us to sit down. We sit down in the chairs that suddenly appeared and the thin, black-haired director continues: "Well, tell me: Why didn't both of get along?"

Of course he's playing nice, but I didn't play along: "I'm innocent, I was sent out for no reason at all!" "I had reason enough to send you out, Miss Pyren," Sir Andoin snapped. "But Sir Andoin, that's not how you talk to your students," Keefe waves his fingers in the air like a strict teacher.

Sir Andoin gasps in disgust: "For that, I expect appropriate punishment for the two of them!" Magnate Leto looks warningly at Sir Andoin, who then looks down guiltily at the floor. I let out an amusing note that I just couldn't contain.

Keefe looked at me in surprise: "You can laugh!" "Of course I can!" "But they'll soon lose their laughter!", Sir Andoin brought himself back into the conversation. This time I kept my mouth shut, but it was difficult for me. However, the grin stayed on my face and it just wouldn't go away.

When I turn back to Sir Andoin, I see nothing but pure lust for murder in his eyes. And somehow I have the feeling that it is for me. "I expect a severe punishment, like, that you'll have detention till the end of school!" he exaggerated, clearly. Now magnate Leto looked like he was about to smack Sir Andoin with a bang  right in the middle of his "perfect" face.

The idea made me smile all the more and Sir Andoin didn't like that at all: 'How dare you to smile!? How can you even think about smiling!!?" "Believe me, it's easy. You have to try it!", I liked teasing Sir Andoin because he always got red spots on his face, when he got angry. Which made him look more normal, not so "perfect".

Finally magnate Leto chimed in: "Don't overdo it, Andoin. I think three weeks is enough." "Three weeks?! Why me?? I didn't insult the teacher and I didn't storm out of class," Keefe said indignantly and sinks into his chair. Exactly like a small child.

"You are right, Mrs. Sencen. You earn five weeks," replies magnate Leto coolly, "count your little run-away campaign too." Keefe opens his mouth: "Okay," then he closes his eyes and makes a thoughtful face, "But if you calculate it mathematically, it's still two weeks and not five!"

"Keefe, I think you need a little tutoring in math, it's seven weeks," I joke and Keefe looks at me in disbelief. "Seven weeks? Never! My hair would never last that many dance lessons!" "We have to dance?" I exclaim in shock, dancing is the most horrible thing in the world. All the movements and the music are not for me.

"You can practice with me," Keefe suggests charmingly while twitching his eyebrows. I pretend to throw up: "I'd rather take Verdi as a dance partner than you." "Oh, you don't have to be so mean," he said, clutching his chest in mock hurt.

"I think we're going to stick with three weeks," magnate Leto looks at Keefe apologetically, adding, "I'm sorry I couldn't help it." "Haven't you heard, that you shouldn't do that to other people's expense?"

"Yes, of course, but I would be careful if I were you, because it's going to be five weeks soon." "Do you know how many people you played silly jokes on and it was at their expense?" Sir Andoin asks still badly moody.

"Well, I stopped counting at fifty people..." "I don't think you could count any more," I grin cheerfully and give Keefe a bittersweet smile. "I hate to compare you to Fitz Vacker, but this time you could take a huge liking to his very satisfactory demeanor and you, Miss Pyren, don't forget that for now you're only here on a probationary period."

"That means I have a chance to get rid of her?" Sir Andoin looks at me delightedly, but then Magnate Leto clears his throat and tries to make a sad expression on his face, which he doesn't particularly succeed: "I mean, I miss her even now"

,,Excuse me! Not everyone can be Fitz Vacker!" I snap at him. "But you can learn to become one" "No you can't!" I contradict him and yet a photo of Fitz comes up in front of my inner eye. Immediately I notice his eyes, which are so bright they almost blind me Someone clears their throat next to me and I look at Keefe in confusion.

He has a thumb up and is grinning as hard as I thought possible. "What is it?" I ask him, looking at him. He nods at Sir Andoin and Magnate Leto, who in turn are staring at me. I look back, confused.

"I didn't know you had another ability." Magnate Leto's sounds occupied, but he tries to cover it up. "What kind?" I ask him, but secretly I already knew the answer. "Well, you can change your shape...
