"He's missing?" The detective gave him a sympathetic look.
"Yes, and I assume you knew nothing about that?" Kyojurou nodded.
"That is concerning..." The detective muttered.
Kyojurou stopped talking as he wiped a stray tear.
"I think that should be enough information?" Mitsuri gave a small hum.
"Does that sound familiar?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Will please help?"
"No." Mitsuri sighed.
"Tengen's been missing for years, Obanai--"
"Don't call me that."
"Masked... He and Kyojurou have been friends for years!"
"Not my business. Should've kept a closer eye on the fire."
"He's not talking," Mitsuri grumbled.
"That's alright. I don't expect Tengen to magically appear. Though it would be nice to apologize to him for all I did. And thank him for hiding us." Kyojurou said as the bell rang.
"Well, I'll try to coax some answers out of him." She said as the group began to pack up.
"Hello? Are you listening, Giyuu?" She cooed, poking him. He ignored her, though it was difficult to do so as she was very chatty. He walked around the house for a moment before a book was thrown in his direction. Shinobu disappeared for a second before the book stopped mid-air and flew back the way it came.
"Was that necessary?"
"Obviously. Gotta make sure you don't die on me." She said. He shook his head before going to where the book came from.
"Jesus fuck! Make sure to say something before you walk around!" Sanemi exclaimed, another book in his hand.
"Sorry. I'll make sure to say something next time." Giyuu said. Sanemi muttered something under his breath before setting the book down.
"Did anything of your memory change while you were out?"
"I think it improved, actually." He raised an eyebrow at that.
"How so?"
"Did you damage your head that badly?" Sanemi asked.
"No. I didn't." He sighed before dragging Giyuu behind him.
"You obviously have. How the hell can you hear Shinobu's voice?" Sanemi snapped.
"Be careful next time, Giyuu," Shinobu commented.
"She just spoke to me." He looked back at Giyuu with the most disturbing face a person could make.
"After I report you found, I'm bringing you to a clinic."
To say that Obanai was less than pleased would be an understatement. Why was this mortal woman so concerned for others? It was that loud fire guy's fault for falling asleep in the first place. As Mitsuri walked, Obanai felt like someone was watching her. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he belonged to her, and it was his job to protect her. Looking back over her shoulder, there the prick was. Stereotypical black hoodie and all. He growled at them, which caught Mitsuri's attention.
"Is something wrong?"
"Be careful, air-head. Someone is following you." He said as he wrapped himself around her like a scarf. A demon's spiritual form is convertible and can even be travel-sized!
