(school wants me dead lmao)

"Thank you for the honor, my saviour," Tengen said as he stepped towards the girls. He was stopped in his tracks by nails digging into him.

"Masked." He sneered, staring at him. "Have you been entranced by the siren that much?" Obanai's grip tightened on him.

"Don't call Mitsuri that." He growled.

"How far you've fallen, Masked. Your cult would have frothed at the mouth on hearing this."

Mitsuri and Kyojurou rushed to their friend's side as they tried their best to undo the demon's spell, but to no avail.

"Their leader is after us," Kyojurou mumbled.

"I'll try to get his attention. When I look over at you, try to burn him. I don't know if you'll be able to produce enough to hurt him, but it's worth a shot." He nodded as Mitsuri muttered something under her breath before walking to the demon's leader, who laid the rocks. He turned to her as his eyes bore into her.

"What purpose do you have, siren?" She cringed a bit even though she was used to being called every name someone could call a girl.

"I only wanted to admire you up close." She said with a small smile.

"Really?" He asked, looking over at Obanai for a second before smirking.

"Yes! Would you mind coming off the rocks? It's hard for me to see you well." The leader stretched before leaping off.

And to say Mitsuri was intimidated would be an understatement as he gave the forest's trees a run for their money. She shook her fear off as excitement as she craned her head up.

"Is this good enough?" She looked over at Kyojurou, who had a flame in his hand ready as she looked back to the demon leader.

"My... I never thought you'd—" Before Mitsuri could get through her sentence, the forest erupted into flames and was promptly followed by shrill screams and wails.

But these flames weren't their usual orange color.

They were blue.

Once she took that in, Obanai suddenly returned to her and rested himself along her shoulders as he nulled the volume a bit for her.

"Get someone or something to calm Kyojurou down or he'll kill us all." She looked over at him, and he looked angry. No, that'd be too light of a word... He was enraged... He looked like he was going to kill someone. And, he was technically killing someone,

that someone being the demon's leader. His screams rang throughout the forest as he desperately tried to crawl away. However, the inferno was too much for him. Mitsuri looked around for something to help her, and her eyes landed on Tengen, who was trying to find an escape route to no avail.

"Can you convince Tengen to help us?"

"I probably won't be able to do anything since he's not contracted to Kyojurou. Make sure the flames don't reach everyone."

"You want out of here?" Obanai sneered.

"What do you think?! This is so unflashy!" Tengen exclaimed.

"I know a route out." He paused at this.

"I'm not making an unflamboyant contract with a human!"

"If you don't, then I guess you can die by the same thing that killed you in the first place." Tengen glared at him.

"Unflashy."

"Eh, I could have said worse. You insulted Mitsuri, so now we're even." He rolled his eyes.
