"I didn't do anything." Zenitsu glared at him before clutching her closer.

"I promised to protect you... I'm so sorry, Nezuko..."

"Did you even care about her?"

"Of course, you sick bastard! I caredno loved her with every fiber of me!" He exclaimed, setting her body off to the side to approach him. Thankfully, the body disappeared into the ground and was replaced with small rays of moonlight.

"You should probably be more concerned about her than me." Tengen commented, making Zenitsu look over.

"Nezuko?! Where did she go...?" He exclaimed, frantically searching around. "And how is there moonlight here?"

"You're in your imagination. That wasn't her." Zenitsu was confused as the world he had seemingly created began to crack.

"How...?"

"You'll find out. Now either you leave, or you can stay here and be trapped in an eternal void." Zenitsu thought over his choices before he spoke.

"If I leave, will Nezuko be there?" Tengen sighed.

"Yes, she'll be there."

Tengen left the subconscious after he saw Zenitsu accidentally trip into the moonlight. He'd be out soon. Probably.

"Tengen! Do we have success?" Kyojurou asked.

"Yeah, even if it was unflashy. That was to be expected." Tengen said, floating towards the edge. "How's Nezuko?"

"She's alright. Woke up a while ago." Obanai muttered. "And I assume everything went well with Zenitsu?"

"I would—"

"Nezuko!" Zenitsu exclaimed, eyes snapping open as he looked for her.

"Morning, canary. Don't touch your girlfriend just yet." Tengen said, making them both blush like pink paint.

"Alright, I'll take Shinobu, and you take Giyuu," Obanai commented, disappearing into the subconscious. Tengen looked over at the candles to check if the wax was still intact. Thankfully, it was. And the wind alongside the moonlight was still as well.

Two down, two more to go.

Upon entering the subconscious, he was submerged in water.

This wasn't going to be flashy or flamboyant since he was going to see the same stuff over and over. Nevertheless, he had no choice but to embrace it to find Giyuu.

The rest of the swim was uneventful, just more clear blue water. Occasionally he saw some bubbles, but they only led to sleeping animals or people, none of which seemed to relate to Giyuu, as far as Tengen knew.

Tengen was going to head to another set of bubbles but paused when he heard the gentle song of a music box.

When Tengen approached, he expected something similar to Zenitsu's subconscious, but it was starkly different. Different in a way that made him want to hurl. But at least there was solid ground.

Giyuu's face was torn off from what Tengen could see, and the nerves were exposed as blood dripped onto a wooden floor. Giyuu seemed painfully oblivious to what was going on, and Tengen genuinely didn't for the life of him want to know. Shinobu wasn't any better herself since she was just some nerves with eyes.
