How much time has passed now? Minutes? Hours? Did it matter?

Freddy's lips had long since parted from yours, cascading down your neck paying close attention to your hitched breaths and tense muscles. Your mind felt hazy, it's hard to think. But there was a nagging voice faintly in the back of your head warning you if what could happen if you didn't stop him. (You met him only a few days ago, surely you can't let this continue.)

His teeth nipped at your exposed neck, enjoying the sharp gasps and warmth that radiated off of you.

"Freddy." You murmured. He kept going. Pausing to give special attention to certain places against your neck nipping and sucking at the skin.
"Freddy, wait."

You tried to speak again voice unable to carry above a whisper. Freddy hesitated hearing your command. He didn't want to stop. Finally having you within his grasp, but to please you he moved back gazing down at you with darkness swirling deep in his blue eyes. You both breathed heavily staring at one another. An unspoken feeling was in the air.

"What-" you found it hard to phrase your sentence at first.
"What are we doing?"

"I thought it was obvious?" Freddy tilted his head partially to the side again. A smile creeping over his lips.
"Aren't we having fun?"

"That's not what I meant." You shoved him away a bit wanting distance. Though your back was still pressed against the back of the tree.
"I mean we shouldn't be doing this. W-what ever you want to call this. We hardly know each other."

Freddy was quite. That's not quite true. He thinks the two of you know each other well enough now, but he wanted to win you over. Do something to win your favor.

"Well then, how would we go about fixing that?" Freddy leaned closer whispering as he brushed his lips against your own. You shuddered are the contact unable to keep your expression neutral.

"I-I don't know. But there's a lot going on. I mean- someone is dead." You gasped shakily worry swirling in your eyes. Freddy took the hint and backed off standing straighter but his hands didn't move off your hips.

"I guess this could be inappropriate." Freddy looked behind him, almost like he half expected someone to be watching the two of you. He scoffed at the thought before looking back at you. (He should have empathized with you more, you just saw someone you know dead and are stressed out. Still he couldn't help himself. He had to kiss you.)
"How about this."

Freddy grinned eager to share his idea.

"We go on a date." His words made you frown.

"A date? Did you-did you not listen to what I said?" You pushed him back a bit more removing his hands from your hips.

"I did. That's why I suggested a date." Freddy brushed off his clothes smoothing out any wrinkles that may have been made in the heated moment.
"You clearly need to get your mind off things for a few moments, and what better way to learn more about each other than to go on a date."

You weren't sure what to say. Maybe you did need to take a second. You knew the moment he'd leave your side for the night you'd cry at home over the death that happened today. You may not like your town, it may be full of small minded people, but that didn't mean there weren't a few good people littered about.

"I can't afford to take time off the case." You shook your head finally crossing your arms.
"If we don't move now more people will die. Michael is apart of this I just know it, but how I don't know."

Freddy sighed at your words. He held his hands up in mock surrender.

"Alright if that's what the lady wants." He hummed lowering his arms to his side.
"But I know you feel it too."
