"Wake up you disgusting piece of poncho wearing shit" a man said kicking Luca.
"Your getting roommates" these words was unfamiliar to Luca. Luca was dragged out of the room where he had learnt every nook and crevice of it.
"Rise and shine you wash aways here you new roommate" he said and tossed Luca into the room. Where malnourished and sleep deprived people.
"He's not much of a talker is he" in the first time in forever. Luca heard Spanish. Like he could understand the people talking to him.
"You speak spanish" Luca has felt so relieved that he could finally communicate with people.
"All of us do. What is your name small boy" the man who looked like he would die any day if he didn't get medical attention asked. His voice fragile and void of any emotion
"My parents named me Armando Carlos Luca Cortez Reséndez De La Cruz. But on my birth certificate its Carlos Reséndez. They thought it was unique. I wrote it on the wall so I could never forget it" Luca said as he wiped away the tear from his eyes.
"My name is Mattias Santos. All of us were immigrants trying to escape the war caused by the Carin cartel and Sanchez Family but none of us escape."
Mattias said.
After that moment Luca realized there was no going back home.
