Mom,

By the time you read this, it would be too late.

I have ran away from the orphanage. I'd rather live and survive on my own than live in a lie until I die.

To Emma and Ray, I'm sorry for leaving you guys like this.

We all will eventually die one day. You guys may be sooner, and my death later. But I have one last thing to say to you guys.

See you guys in the next life.

"We'll then," Isabella says as she folds the paper. "If that's how she wants it."

Isabella calls everyone to the room. The children rush in. Even Ray comes from the library to see what Isabella needed to say.

"Attention please!" Isabella calls.
"Thank you. I have terrible news. The girl we all know and love, Karma, has ran away from this House."

Gasps were heard from all around the room. Emma, Gilda, and Don faces look shocked at the given news. Ray expression fades into a wide stare at the floor.

"Why would she run away?" Phil asks.

"Children." Isabella gets their attention. "This shows that Karma wasn't grateful about her home. This shows that she doesn't care for us anymore. But know that with Karma running away, she will be met with loneliness forever."

Isabella walks over to Emma and hands her the letter.

"Be grateful that you all have a home." Isabella tells them and walks away.

"You made her do this!" Emma grabs hold onto Isabella's sleeve.

"I did this?" Isabella turns to face Emma. "I never told her to run. Any choice Karma makes, it's her choice. She could have just been grateful about her stay. Just think. Maybe she never really cared for you all."

The children all gasp and were surprised. The idea of Karma possibly never caring for them them was planted inside their heads.

"That's not it. Karma loved each and every one of us!" Emma argued.

"Emma, stop." Gilda tells her. "Mom, can you excuse me and her?"

"Of course." Isabella says and signals the children to follow her out.

Ray sits in the library alone. He holds on to one of Karma's tiny bunnies that she left behind on his bed for him to keep.

"She couldn't have possibly ran away and got over the wall." Ray says to himself. "Unless she somehow makes it pass headquarters successfully."

"Impossible." Isabella says, which caught Ray off guard.

"She's done it before." Ray argues

"Ray, she's most likely dead." Isabella states.

"How would you know?" Ray questions as he put the small toy in his pocket.

"She couldn't have made it passed the close gate. I went to go check the side of the wall and she wasn't there. Either way, she would have been caught by security. It's safe to say she's dead.

"I'm sorry, Ray. But she was most likely going to die anyways. The higher-ups were wanting her a little earlier than expected. I told her this after I came back from sending Norman off."

And she didn't tell us anything..., Ray thinks to himself.

Isabella leaves Ray by himself, off to attend to other things that may need to get done.

Ray lays his head on the table, and slams his fist on top.

She can't be dead.
