2. How We Felt For Each Other

Here Ai was, sitting alone in her room, thinking what happened to Koito Nagase yesterday. She was on her bed, hugging her knees, stared at her feet, recalling yesterday's scenario.

Yesterday

'Oh my gosh, Nagase-san..,' F/N looked at Koito Nagase's dead body, lying on the grass, blood spilled. F/N looked beside him, Ai, she looked at the body, speechless, shocked. 'Ohto-san...,' F/N snapped Ai back to reality, Ai looked at him, not knowing what to said.

'L/N-san,' as Ai looked at F/N, she said his last name also. Both of them looked at each other's eyes. F/N eyes showed sympathy, Ai eyes showed denial. They stared into each other's eyes, trying to understood what each of them felt about the situation. They both looked at the other way after a moment.

'I hope you're going to be alright after this,' F/N said, breaking the silence between them. Ai looked back at F/N who was looking at Koito's dead body. 'I guess, I'll be alright but I need some times,' Ai said.

'I'm here if you need someone to talk with,' F/N looked at Ai again, she gave him a forced smile. 'Of course, you're always there for everyone,' Ai said, F/N just smiled as a respond, his smiles were never fake, not even forced, his smiles were beautiful, charming, comforting and reassuring making Ai felt a little better seeing him smiled.

Back to the present

As Ai was remembering F/N's smiled, she smiled also. She now considered F/N as her friend, she took her phone that was beside her, opened it and tapped at her chat with F/N.

'Hey, L/N-san, it's me, Ai Ohto,'

'Ohto-san, good evening, what's wrong?'

'I just wanted to say, thank you,'

'For what?'

'For being the person who comforted me when no one else did,'

'Your welcome, it's nothing special, everyone deserved it,'

'Still, thank you,'

'Just take care of yourself, Ohto-san,'

'I will,'

Ai smiled, F/N was still on her side, her mother was still with her and that was enough. She didn't know what will happened to her now but she was looking forward to it.

F/N was taking care of his little brother but he zoned out, thinking about what happened yesterday. He just wished that none of his classmates had anything to do with Koito's dead, if they were, they were horrible.

F/N just hoped that Ai was going to be alright, he knew Koito was her first ever friend, losing a friend must be hurt. F/N technically didn't have best friend, only friends and he didn't care. Ai was a different story, between both of them, they were friends but for F/N, he might got a little crush on her but he decided to pushed the feelings away and focused on more important things, they were friends and that was it.

F/N snapped back to reality when his 5 years old little brother suddenly slapped his hand. '[Little brother's name]! Why did you do that?' F/N asked him, feeling shocked with the sudden slap, his little brother just laughed, liking his big brother's reaction. F/N chuckled, 'You kid, don't do that,' he ruffled his little brother's hair.

...

Crush? What a cute feeling but sadly, it's one-sided love for F/N. Ai didn't feel the same, yet. Ai decided to stop going to school when the new semester started. F/N felt a little disappointed, he couldn't see Ai again but what he could do? He had to accepted it and moved on.
