Recap: I turn my gaze at Klaus, to ask him if he would dance with me. But he stands so still, on the dance floor, his gaze fixed on some one. Well actually, a girl. Pained and hurt expressions cross his beautiful face. I move closer to him, lean closer to his ear, "Are you all right? We can go home if you want?"

"Do you know that girl Klaus?" I ask in a worried tone, the girl has her arms around a guys neck and are making out.

"I love her."

Chapter-18

"I love her", as these words left his mouth I felt a pinch in my chest. Why am I so hurt? I mean he told me already about his love for another girl. But how is this possible? He had said that the girl loved him back. But now... she is dancing with some guy and they are making out.

This has happened to me before. I know how Klaus would be feeling. I very well understand those pained expressions. Because... my heart was broken once. I know how it feels, when the person you love... cheats!

What! Hey Caroline! I mentally snap myself. He needs you, Klaus needs your help. Yes, I can help him, although there was no one to help me out. But, I am here for him.

He finally breaks his eye contact from the couple and forces shut his eyes, clench his jaw and his hands form fists and then he exhales sharply. Without waiting he turns on his heels to the balcony, me, hot on his trail. It's peaceful and calm here. A full moon night has lit up the sky and the twinkling stars are spreading their sparkles. Klaus is leaning on the railing, both hands firm on the rod of the railing. I reach by his side, but decide to say nothing. We keep standing there for I don't know how long, until he gives over the silence.

"I am... I am sorry... I didn't want to be a mood spoiler. It's just... just... I..." he trails off.

I sigh and place my hand over his. "I understand how you feel Klaus."

"No, you have no idea... you will never understand how I feel."

"I do Klaus... I do..."

He gazes in my eyes and finally sighs. "Oh... I..." he then shook his head.

"It's okay. You don't have to talk if you don't want to."

He nods slowly. Then he breathes in sharply. "How could she do that to me? I always loved her. I did everything in my power to keep her happy. And here she is! Making out with someone!"

"I am sorry Klaus"

"No why should you be sorry? It's all her fault. I despise of her now"

I stay quiet for a while, and then it hit me! Yes, it is something I have always wanted to do! Who gave them the right to make us feel bad? I mean why it always have to be only one, to get hurt. It's time for some game!

And I smile.

"I know that smile" he says, looking a little better than his sad version. I wink, "You are going to enjoy this."

After telling him about my master plan, we reach the centre of the dancing floor, closer to the couple. We start dancing. I let him put his hands around my waist and I lay my hands around his neck and tangle my fingers in his hair. We sway slowly on the beats of music, scooting closer to the target couple.
