Caroline knocks twice and waits.

“Come in.” a voice says.

She enters the cabin and controls her jaw to fall open at how perfect the cabin is. It is a ceiling to floor glass wall displaying a freaking awesome view of LA. All the rest of the walls are filled with masterpiece of amazing painters and photographers of the world. But none belongs to Nina.

She hears someone clearing throat. She looks in the direction and finds a blonde with cool specs of red frame and beautiful blue eyes looking through them. Her hair is done in an easy way making her look even more cool.

“Umm… I am… I am sorry.” She stammers.

“Uh! Hello Ms. Sorry, I am Nina.” Nina smirks.

“I… I mean, I am Caroline.” She smiles nervously.

“Hello Caroline. So finally you are here. I‘ve been waiting for you. Come have a seat.” Nina directs toward a chair in front of her desk.

“Thank you Madam”.

“Call me Nina. How are you doing?”

“I am good and you?”

“I am good as well Caroline. Let’s get to business, shall we?”

“Sure.” She smiles, relaxed at Nina’s cool attitude.

“I would like you to know that there is not much workload during these days here in office.” Nina continues in a serious tone and this makes Caroline get pale. “I have seen your work. And I don’t think we are going to need you in here.”

“I understand ma… Nina. The thing is, all I wanted was to have this golden opportunity to work with you that’s it. Working here in your office has never been my aim.” She says confidently as some part of her already knows that she has lost her opportunity. She has lost her dream to work with her Ideal.

“Well that’s good to know Caroline. You need some water?” Nina asks with concern.

“Thank you Nina.” She smiles wiping away sweat beads off her forehead. She grabs the glass and drinks it all in one go.

“You okay?”

She nods.

“It was a pleasure to finally meet you in face. May I take your leave?” She asks finally.

“Sure Caroline. It was pleasure meeting you too.” Nina offers her hand for a handshake. She takes it politely and grabs her only belonging, her file and leaves.

She quickly takes the lift. She could feel tears gushing inside her throat to her eyes. She just wanted to run away and explode with all the pain of her crushed dreams. She exits the main gate of the office and starts looking for a cab.

“Hey! Caroline!”

She hears someone calling her name. She turns around and is totally shocked to see Nina coming, running all her way.

“Hey… stop... You… jerry mouse…” Nina says in between her breathes, then bends placing her hands on her knees as her lungs working heavily to drag more oxygen from atmosphere.

“I am sorry, I could not hear you coming over.” She apologizes at the condition of Nina.

“It’s okay.” Nina grins. “I haven’t had a run in long time and you just helped me burn some extra calories.” She smirks.

Caroline stands there confused, trying to understand what actually is going on. Still she manages to smile in return.

“Well well Ms. Caroline.” Nina stops as if she is waiting for some signal. As Caroline blinks her eyes, she continues, “I told you that we don’t need you in the office but…”

“But?”

“Have you heard of International Photography Awards?”

“Yes and I know you hold the record for having the honor of winning ‘The Best Photo’ award for maximum number of times.”

“It’s 9.” Nina sighs. “As I said earlier you are not required to be in my office, because you are going to assist me in my project.” Nina finishes.

“Oh” Caroline says casually not really thinking of what Nina has just said. But then as the words are registered, she shouts, “What! I am what!”

Nina laughs hard at Caroline’s shocked expressions. “Yes Caroline and we will be working at my home after lunch. Hope that’s not an issue.” She enquires in an affirmative manner.

Caroline nods.

“Wake up!” I was startled and found myself in a deadlock of Ada’s tight grip.

“Ow! That hurts.”

“Okay. Fine.” She let go of me, then with a tint of amusement in her eyes, “So how was it?”

“How was what?” I maintained a straight face.

“Ah! Don’t you dare try it on me! You know what I am asking.” She huffed.

“It was good.”

“Just good?”

“Uh… Great!”

“Explain”

“Explain no!”

“Why not?”

“Hey it’s personal. Come on! I need my space.”

“I am your best friend so technically I should know.”

“I can’t.” I gasped so as to end the conversation which was brutally being won by Ada’s statements.

“Fine. I understand, but that doesn’t mean I can go all the way sparing you.” As she finished, a devil smirk spread on her face. Told you, she is the she-devil. And I am freaking out here.

“Hey! What’s in your head?”

“You can’t tell. Okay, I agree. But you can write it up.” She winced. “And I can’t wait more than tomorrow.” She said and left my cabin.

“Hey stop! Hey! Ada!”

Damn it! I mentally slapped myself. What do I do now? Klaus! Yes Klaus. He had to help me. I rushed over to my hand bag to look for my cell phone. My fingers were on automatic mode to open the call history and dial the last call received.

Before Klaus could even begin, I shot, “Hell! Ada wants me to write about you and how we made up.”

“Well that’s a brilliant idea.” Uh-oh! That did not sound like Klaus.

Then who was he?

“Who are you?” I was holding my breath for his answer. Please be it Klaus.

“Hello Caroline. It’s Mark. Would you please thank Ada on my behalf for thinking of such a superb plan?”
