Chapter-10

“Yeah…” Both are taken aback by a female voice and they turn in the direction of the voice. They find Caroline and Ada standing there all astonished.

“Hey Caroline, Hey Ada” Mark says surprised by the sudden appearance of both.

“Hey Mark, Hello Klaus” Ada says with a grin. Caroline just manages to smile still amazed by Klaus’s answer.

“Hey girls” Klaus says sheepishly.

“Actually” Ada jumps in, “It was my idea to know more about you.” She gestures towards Klaus. “And let Mark know more about Caroline. I thought it might be interesting to have a lunch together and spend a quality time.” She finishes in a sleek manner.

“Oh! That’s so thoughtful of you.” Mark move towards Ada, takes her hand and plants a peck. Then looks at her in eyes, “It’s good to see you again.” To which she bows royally.

Caroline gives a terrified glance at Klaus. Klaus bites his lower lip as if in his deep thoughts.

“I think a dinner… would be a better idea.” Klaus speaks in a thoughtful yet stern manner. “Actually we have a meeting in an hour, so it won’t be a good idea to leave the lunch early.”

“Oh… Actually that’s true.” Mark states with an aghast. “So meanwhile I’ll show Ada around.” Slowly a smile creeps across their faces and Caroline takes a deep breath. Klaus nods.

“This way, my lady” Mark says and Ada blushes. They leave and hearing the door close, Caroline springs at Klaus.

“They are soon going to find the truth” she gets pale at the thought of it.

“No, they are too sweet for that.” Sly smile spreads across his face that brightens his blue eyes even more. “Why don’t you have a seat.” He gestures towards the couch.

“You are being so Ada-ish” she states crossing her hands and forces herself sit.

“Didn’t you notice, once they are together, they kind of forget everything around. Even us.” He winks.

“You mean… you mean they are into each other?”

“Um… well I’m not sure of it, but yes it’s safe when they are together.”

She pouts thinking, and then says, “And you called in for dinner…”

“They will be too drunk by then to think of us”

She smiles but this time it is a devil’s menacing grin. “And hey… How come you know of Pitbull?”

“Some old memories” Klaus smirks, “You and me, the perfect couple of the night.”

Caroline gasps as she reminds the not-so-happy memory of them together. “So yours is Pussycat dolls?”

“Yep” he says popping the p.

Then there is an unwanted silence between both. She finally clears her throat. “It’s kind of unusual for us, sitting quite. I mean not fighting at all.” He nods in response. They hear the door unlock. Mark and Ada enter smiling at each other.

“Your office is amazing. I just loved the combination of art dipped in simplicity and ecstaticity.” Ada chirps.

“Well the credit goes to Klaus. He kind of planned and designed the layout” Marks states proudly.

“I am impressed.” She smiles and turns towards Caroline, “I think we should be going and leave men to their work.”

“Oh… yeah” Caroline startles still dazed by Mark's words. ‘What else is yet to know about Klaus?’ she asked herself.
