WHAT IF I TOLD YOU
THAT I'VE FALLEN?

[NIGHT]

I've packed my things, I'm just currently waiting for Simon to arrive since he said that he's going to pick me up.

It's almost 8, nagkain narin ako.

I can finally see his car arriving. "Hi, si!" I greeted.

He greeted me back. He went outside his car to open the car door, which I never expected for him to do to me.

Well, I think I'm kind of starting to have feelings for him..

"Are you excited for the trip?" He asked.

"Yes! Actually I'm more excited about the strawberry taho, hopefully we see manong again."

FLASHBACK*

"Goodmorning, Simon." I greeted him.

"Goodmorning too. How's your sleep here? Are you comfortable with the mattress?"

"No worries, I was comfortable with the bed."

Suddenly I heard a guy selling taho outside. "Hey, I'm going to buy taho. Do you want ba?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure."

I went outside to the taho seller, "Manong.. Ano po yung mga flavor ng taho?"

"Strawberry at classic lang, ineng" He said. It looks so delicious but I haven't tried the strawberry one yet. "Magkano po yung strawberry?" I asked.

"20 pesos nalang, ineng."

Then I paid him. "Manong, dalwa na po pala"

Simon walked towards me. "Sige, dalawa para sayo at sa iniibig mo. Ay, si Simon pala ito! Kamusta na iho?"

Iniibig?

"We're just friends, manong" Simon replied. "Okay naman po, kayo po ng pamilya mo? Kamusta na po kayo?"

"Ay, pasensya na iho.. Akala ko kasi girlfriend mo sya. Okay naman si bineng at sila lovlie"

"That's nice manong" he said and manong gave us the taho and left. Iniibig? I MEAN....

"Kakilala mo sya?" I asked him.

"Yes, he always sell taho in our whole village. Everyone who lives here knows him already. He's been here since I was a kid pa."

"Ohh.. That's actually nice."

"His actual name is Bert, manang bineng is his wife. They have two children, Anna and lovlie."

"You heart the iniibig that he said, right?"

He nodd.

"He said that because it's my first time to bring a girl here in baguio. He thought that you were my girlfriend that's why"

END OF FLASHBACK*

We arrived at their house.

Sandro and Amethyst are also there, waiting for us.

"Hi Airene! Buti naman at dumating na kayo, we've been waiting for you to arrive kanina pa e." Amethyst greeted me.

"Look who's excited" Sandro teased her and inirapan nya lang si Sandro. "Wag mo ako tatabihan sa car mamaya" she said.

"Wag na nga kayo mag away, paskong pasko magaaway pa kayo"

"Charot charot lang yun syempre"

"Let's just go inside. I'm still going to prepare few things before leaving later." Simon said.

Dalwa daw yung dadalhin nilang sasakyan. One for their parents and another one for us, Simon & sandro at the front.

[AFTER A LONG RIDE]

We finally arrived here at baguio. It's 5 am, it was pretty traffic.

It's freezing cold here. "Amethyst, do you have an extra jacket?" I asked her and umiling sya.

I sat down at the chair outside and hugged myself.

Simon went towards me, "Hey are you cold?" he asked.

I nodd.

He handed me his jacket and I wore it. Gosh, he smells so good and I can still smell is scented perfume on it.
