I walk out of Mrs.Hazel's class still in shock, i still can't get over what happened in the nurse's office with Royce. Well, nothing really happened, it's not like we kissed or anything…i mean we could have kissed…he looked like he wanted to ki- “hey Theo!” Hanna says, interrupting my thoughts “sup Hanna” i turn around to greet her with a hug.
“It sucks that we don't have classes together” she hugs back “ yeah, but i'm pretty sure you're fine, i mean like at least we have the same lunch hours” i say heading out the main doors. “Yeah but-”she stops talking and looks somewhere behind me, “what?” I say, confused at what she's looking at.
I look behind me and notice that Royce is staring at me with a smile on his face. “Why is he smiling at you like that?” Hanna asks with a disgusted look on her face “to be honest I don't even know” I turn back around ignoring him.
“Well Theo, i wish i could keep talking to you but this is my ride i'll see you tomorrow okay?” “Okay” I say, giving Hanna a hug again before she hops in the car. I swear we act like we haven't seen each other in years.
I turn around to head to the bus, but I end up getting startled by Royce who is standing a little too close for my liking. “Come with me” he demands “excuse me?” I say not liking the way he is bossing me around.“Can you just listen to me?” “fine” i follow him to an expensive looking car and he gets in.
I step into the car confused, “I'm gonna drop you off okay?” he says, starting up the engine “sure,but if you had a car why didn't you just drive to school?” i ask “because i left it here over the weekend to ride the bus with Derrick because he thought you were gonna be riding the bus, but turns out you never showed up and i left my car here for no reason”
That only made a little bit of sense but I'm still confused, “Aren't you leaving him?” “no” he says, fully focused on the road “I'm mad at him so I made him ride the bus home”. The light turns red and we stop “Why are you mad at him?” He turns to look at me, “Because he is still treating you badly even though I told him to stop” the lights turn green and he turns back around and starts driving.
Minutes later we arrived at a huge house and I stare at it absolutely flabbergasted at how big it is. That was when I started to wonder. Where the hell was I?? “Wait a goddamn minute… This is not my house!!” I shout looking over at Royce who’s beside me.
Watching him scoff. “Well duh it's not because it's mine” He says getting out of the car “Wait a damn minute-” I shout out as I climb out of the car. “You said that you were gonna drop me off” I quickly shot back, arms crossed. “I didn't exactly say where I was gonna drop you off. Now did I?” He starts off in a teasing tone, walking up the steps in the process.
I stayed back at the car admiring the fountain in the middle of the driveway for a few seconds. I didn't deserve to be in such a fancy place. “Are you coming or not!” he called out to me. I hesitated. “I-i don't think i should” I say, reaching my hand over to tug open the car door, just to find out it was locked.
“What am I doing here anyways? My moms gonna be worried about me” he walks down the stairs and back to the car where i'm standing. “If you wanna go then i can drop you off, but you are my tutor so…”
I turn away from the house and look at him dead in the eyes. “TUTOR!! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN TUTOR!!??” I would exclaim fuming. “Hey calm down okay?" Royce says, attempting to calm me down. After a few seconds of pure silence Royce finally spoke.
"Mrs.Hazel didn't tell you?” I look around in complete shock, before shaking my head no. “No, no she didn’t tell me shit! And we're not in the same class so how could I be your tutor?”
He sighs “well she saw that i really needed help in her class and asked if it was okay for me to have a tutor and i said yes” he pauses and looks at me, i nod my head to show that i'm listening.
He continues “and well since you're good at math, she recommended you to be my tutor and i told her that it was fine.” “She told me that she was gonna tell you at the end of the day, but I guess she forgot” he shrugs.
I follow as he walks to the front door to the house and enters, immediately we are greeted by double staircases a black rug with a matching railing following along up them.
Black and white striped flooring and a beautiful chandelier, in the middle of the stairs there's a gray rug with a glass table that has golden legs and flowers on top. Also there are two beautiful white chairs with a black rim on them sitting on each side of the stairs.
“Follow me” he says, heading up one of the stairs. I follow him through a long hallway and at the end we stop at a room, he opens the door and I almost drop dead. HIS ROOM IS FUCKING HUGE!!, but not the kind of room I thought he would be sleeping in. Not like I've been thinking about where he sleeps or anything like that.
When you first walk in, you're greeted by a huge grayish carpet that has a beautiful bed with a velvet gray rim and a matching velvet gray couch with white pillows on the back, two matching gray pillows on the side and a peachy pillow in the middle.
The bed also has a nice beautiful huge wooden headboard and a secondary headboard behind it, with two wooden nightstands on both sides and silver lamps and above the bed's a silver chandelier.
On the door side of the room, there are two gray velvet chairs and a beautiful mirror behind them. And on the opposite side, there's a glass table and a velvet dark blue couch.
I hold in my breath while entering his room “wow” I gasp, “it's nothing” he shrugs “IT'S NOTHING?! Dude, are you serious?” I exclaim, but he just looks at me like I'm some statue.
“Now Derrick’s gonna be here any minute okay? And it's most likely he’ll come in here, just try to ignore him the best that you can okay? He says while digging through his backpack. I nod and get my math notebooks out.
