***Alright, today (5/6/18) I've started re-editing this story almost three years exactly from when it first began. So from here on out I'm changing, editing, revising and recreating  the journey I started and hopefully make it more enjoyable for anyone else who might stumble across my super nerdy and depressingly obsessive Marvel loving profile. Enjoy!***

*** Hello lovlies! So yeah I decided to take this idea and run with it. I honestly don't know how this will turn out, but I am hoping it wont crash and burn :P So here it is! Part one! It's more of a filler chappie but I wanted to start with a bang so I hope you like. Speaking of liking do that. And voting. And go ahead and add it to your library while your at it. Well anyways, enjoy xx ***

"Ready?" Clint asked me, half of his body hanging out of the back of the helicopter, with his bow slung across his shoulder and a small smile playing across his lips.

"The question should really be are they ready?" I grabbed my own bow and moved away from the back of the open chopper. I looked around at the others, each Avenger already suited up and prepared for the battle to come. Thor swung his hammer eagerly at his side, Steve fitted his helmet over his head, Nat slipped deadly looking iron knuckles over her sleek black gloves and nodded back to Tony who was smiling down at his newest addition of nanotech etched into his chest.

"How're we looking Banner?" He yelled over the blades roaring above us.

Bruce pushed himself away from the grid. "Ready when you are."

"Music to my ears." Tony gave the rest of a sly grin as he backed up to the wide open expanse of forest speeding by below us. As his facemask peeled over his face he gave us a curt nod. "Ladies," then blasted out of the chopper and disappeared into the sky.

Steve sighed and shook his head next to me. "Showoff," he mumbled under his breath.

I laughed. "Not everyone can be as talented and as humble as you, Cap."

As I watched after Tony, a huge dark mass materialized out of the sea of green below. Series of black buildings connected by bridges and accessorized with towers and sharp fences cutting in and out of view. The whole thing looked like an image out of a classic spy movie. H.Y.D.R.A.

I looked eagerly to Clint, trying to suppress the nervousness building in my stomach. I've been on missions with the team before, but none like this. None as important or dangerous as this one. In the three years I've spent with S.H.I.E.L.D and the ten months I've spent as an official member of the Avengers, this is by far the biggest load I've had to carry. I remembered to remind myself I could handle this.

With a slight jolt, the chopper began to lower itself into the protection of the forest surrounding below. Maria Hill slid out of the cockpit and began handing everyone a wire. I watched in anticipation as each of my team members attached the mics to their bodies. Maria stopped at me last, lingering long enough to give me a reassuring squeeze of my hand. As she walked away, I looked around hoping nobody noticed before attaching my own mic to my jacket. The last thing I needed was for my team to think I wasn't ready for this. I was. I just was still in the process of convincing myself of it still...

"Well," Nat cracked her neck as she walked toward the open ground hovering just below us. "Let's kick some ass."

I watched as she, Bruce and Steve leapt off of the platform and disappeared into the foliage. Thor grabbed his hammer and patted Clint on the back before following the others. The plan to receive Loki's scepter was now in play. Now me and Clint would pick off the remaining guards on the opposite side of the compound and away from the fight raging in the front. I was thankful for that. Not being thrown into the thick of the blood bath. And I was thankful for the fact that Id be fighting side by side with Clint, who taught me everything I knew and has stood by me since day one. I smiled at this newfound optimism.

Maria lifted us back into the air and flew us a few hundred yards away before lowering us back down again. As the ground approached us steadily, I could feel my heart pounding loudly in my chest. I took a deep breath. You got this.

All my confidence I attempted to build up inside myself nearly vanished though as a sudden blast of gunfire shook the ground a few yards below us. My hands began to tremble at my side and I mentally cursed myself. You're an Avenger now, so act like it.

Clint appeared next to me, and gave me a reassuring pat on the back. I forced a smile as I let my fingers trace the shaft of my bow absentmindedly.

"Well," He gave me one last glance, a mischievous grin stretched across his face and excitement evident in his blue eyes.

"It's go time."
