[M. Shoji] Insecure

Y/n was hanging out in the common area with the more quiet selection of class 1a; Shoji, Tokoyami, Ojiro, and Koda. After a little while of laughing and conversation about long term goals everyone decided to talk about how they were growing up. Tokoyami was the same little gothic bird, Koda was shy(and still is), Ojiro was more energetic, and Shoji was...Well he didn't say anything.

"We should head off to bed now, Aizawa-sensei said he has a surprise physical test tomorrow so we should prepare our minds." Tokoyami said standing up. You nodded and agreed, "Yeah we should do that, good work today everyone. It was fun hanging out!"

After everyone started heading off to their dorms you ran up to Shoji. He turned to you and asked, "Oh Y/n, did you need something?" You sighed and said, "You seemed to not want to talk about your past, actually you got visibly nervous for a second. Are you okay?" Shoji looked forward and said, "Yeah I'm fine, I just have demons in my past, like many others." You continued walking with him.

After a pause you asked, "So, you're insecure about something in your past, wanna talk about it? Keeping something in for so long can really weigh down on a person, I won't tell anyone. A-And please don't feel bad if you don't want to tell me, it's your own personal information and I understand if you would rather keep it to yourself." There was another pause.

Soon you two arrived at Shoji's dorm, after he didn't reply you shrugged and said, "Alright, if you ever change your mind, feel free to just text." He opened his door and said, "I never said no." He motioned for you to go in, so you did. I forgot his room is so bare. You thought standing in the centre of his room.

He closed his door and sat on his bed. He looked up at you and said, "You have to agree to not tell a soul, Y/n." You nodded, with a serious face, and said, "I swear, Mezo Shoji, that I won't disappoint." He nodded and sighed. "Is it okay if I sit next to you?" You asked. Shoji nodded again and you sat down on his left side. He rubbed his forehead with his hand and explained, "My quirk effects my body in many ways. My arms...and my face." He moved his hand down to his mouth.

He looked at you with only his eyes and said, "Some years ago...I scared a child because of how my face looked. So I've worn a mask so people won't make me out to be a villain." You put your hand on his back. He closed his eyes and pulled his mask down, revealing his face. Your eyes sparkled with admiration, he looked so cool!

He looked back at you and saw you in awe, he was confused and asked, "You're not afraid?" You shook your head and said, "No not at all! In fact I think you look cool!" Shoji's eyes lit up a little and he hugged you softly. You hugged back and said, "Man, you have an awesome quirk and personality, don't let anyone make you feel otherwise."

His grip tightened slightly and said, "Thank you...Y/n." His embrace was so warm and comfortable that you started to fall asleep, after a while your eyes closed and you felt yourself being picked up and being lied down on something soft. You opened your eyes and saw Shoji had pulled out a thick blanket and a pillow and put them on the floor.

"Hey...don't sleep on the floor it's not good for your back..." You said, tiredly. Shoji looked at you and said, "Don't worry, it's fine. I'm too tired to carry you back to your dorm and I fear you'll just fall asleep on the way there." You put your hand on his arm and said, "Just sleep on the bed, that won't be comfortable on your back tomorrow."

Shoji sighed, knowing that you're a pain to argue with, and got on the bed beside you. You cuddled up close to him for warmth and said, "Goodnight Shoji..." He flinched at your touch, but gave in and wrapped his arms around you. You turned over, your back facing his chest, and he said, "Goodnight, Y/n."

You soon fell asleep with Shoji spooning you.

In the middle of the night your stirred awake, Shoji was squirming uncomfortably so you turned to him and saw he was asleep....but his face displayed discomfort and he was moving around a lot. You sat up and softly rubbed the back of your hand on his cheek. He settled down and opened his eyes.

He sat up on his elbows and asked, "What's going on?" You chuckled nervously and pulled your hand back to your chest, then said, "W-Well you started having a nightmare, so I tried calming you down. Sorry if I overstepped." You looked down to your lap but Shoji wrapped his arms around your waist. You looked at him again and he said, "Thank you Y/n, you didn't overstep. Now we should sleep."

You nodded and lied back down, facing Shoji while his arms were around your waist. He kissed your forehead softly and rested his head on his pillow. You giggled lightly and he looked down at you. "Too much?" He asked in a low voice. You shook your head and said, "No you're just adorable Shoji-kun." You pecked his lips and smiled.

His eyes went wide and his cheeks flushed a light shade of pink, he leaned in closer and you kissed again, but more passionately. After pulling away you said, "Okay, now we should sleep." You both laughed softly and Shoji asked, "Y/n...Will you go out with me?" Your face went bright pink. A-After we just kissed?! You thought. You cleared your mind and said, "Yes, I would love that Shoji."

He smiled and said, "Call me Mezo."
