[F. Tokoyami] 'An item'

After a long day of school your boyfriend, Fumikage Tokoyami, invited you to hang out in his room, you had tried to invite him over to your dorm a few times but you always ended up staying in his because he thought of girls dorms as forbidden territory.

You and Fumikage enjoyed silent quality time so you ended up sitting directly next to each other sharing earbuds and listening to music in the dark setting of his room.

You were silently bopping your head to music when suddenly there was a light tap on your shoulder. You took out your side of the earbud and looked up to see Dark Shadow hovering next to you and a sleeping Fumikage.

Dark shadow points to Fumikage and says in almost a whisper, "Fumikage fell asleep! We should draw on his beak." You giggled silently and said, "Awe Dark Shadow how could you say that, he's so precious." You stood up from your seat on the floor and carefully picked up Fumikage and gently set him on his dark bed.

After you set him down and tucked him in bed, you placed a soft kiss just above his left eye. Dark Shadow must have gotten jealous because he floated over to you, pouting, and said, "Awe c'mon Y/n, where's my kiss!" You giggled and cupped Dark Shadows pouting face, then kissed his forehead.

You giggled and asked, "Better?" Dark Shadow nodded and said, "Yeah! Thanks Y/n~" he hugged you tightly and when he let you go he said, "You should just stay here tonight, it's almost 1am anyway." You looked at the dimly lit digital clock in Fumikage's room and saw Dark Shadow was right. It was 12:55am. You sighed and said, "Yeah, I suppose you're right. I'll just sleep on the floor then, mind grabbing me a blanket?"

You lied down on the floor using your hoodie as a pillow when suddenly Dark Shadow picked you up and put you next to Fumikage. You turned to Dark Shadow and whispered, "Dark Shadow what are you-" Dark Shadow put a claw over your mouth and whispered, "Please, Fumikage really likes you, he's constantly thinking about you and I know he would enjoy waking up to cuddling you."

Your face went pink. You and Fumikage had been an item for a few weeks now but he never directly said he likes or loves you romantically, he subtly hints at it but he gets nervous and abandons telling you, thinking that going out is enough to say how he feels. So this news was a surprise to you. You figured Fumikage at least enjoyed dating you, but you never really knew. You sighed and lied back down next to Fumikage, slowly drifting off into sleep.

The next morning you woke up to Fumikage spooning you, his arms were wrapped around your waist and his head was resting just above yours.

You couldn't help but smile widely and cover your face with your hands. Fumikage felt you move and asked softly, "Y/n, are you awake?" You considered not answering, just to see what he would do. After a moment of silence you quietly said, "Yes, I'm awake."

Fumikage loosened his grip around your waist and said, "I apologize if I woke you." You shook your head and said, "Please don't apologize, Fumikage, you didn't wake me." Dark Shadow came out from under the bed and said, "I told you he'd like it." Fumikage let go of you and propped himself up on his elbow and said, "Dark Shadow! What did you tell her?"

Dark Shadow just snickered as you turned to face Fumikage. Finally you asked bashfully, "Did you not want me to stay?" Fumikage glanced down at you and saw you were nervous, and guilty. He shook his head and said, "No no, I enjoy your company always." He lied back down next to you and looked up at the ceiling, you looked at him and he said, "Your presence makes me feel calm, it helps me control Dark Shadow."

You look up at the ceiling and nervously say, "F-Fumikage...can I...ask a question?" He turned his head slightly to you and said, "Of course, go ahead." You shut your eyes tightly and nervously asked, "Do you...like going out with me? You never voice your opinion...so I just wanted to know, a-and to tell you that if you don't like me romantically then please tell me so I don't hold you back."

I know Dark Shadow said that Fumikage likes me but...I need Fumikage to tell me, just to be sure I don't get in the way

Fumikage looked back up at the ceiling and said, "I do like you Y/n. Romantically. You don't get in the way, in fact, you're my motivation to push my limits to get stronger." Your eyes shot open and you turned to Fumikage, he was serious. Dark Shadow popped up and said, "Y/n, Fumikage is in love wi-" Fumikage sat up and yelled, "DARK SHADOW!!"

Dark Shadow chuckled and said, "Hey! You're the one who's always talking about it when we're alone!" You sat up too, red in the face. You turned to Fumikage and saw he was flustered. Since he couldn't actually blush you could just tell by the face he was making that he was at a loss for words.

You smiled softly and asked, "F-Fumikage- do you...love me?" Fumikage looked the other direction and nodded once then said, "I believe so. I can't seem to stop thinking about you, and my heart rate increases whenever you're around." You looked down into your lap, face still red, and said, "I'm glad you feel that way, Fumikage...I- love you too."

You turned your head, still looking down, and saw Fumikage was now looking at you. You smiled and he pulled you into a soft hug. You hugged back kissed his cheek, he stopped hugging you and instead held your hands. He knew that he couldn't exactly kiss you because of his beak, so he rubbed his beak on your nose. An eskimo kiss.

You looked into his eyes and giggled, then said, "You're so kind, Fumikage." Dark Shadow hugged you from behind and said, "I told you it was a good idea to spend the night." You turned your head to the side and saw Dark Shadow resting his chin on your shoulder. You leaned your head on his and said, "And you were right. Thank you Dark Shadow, I owe you."

Dark Shadow snickered and said, "Okay, you can repay me by letting Fumikage and I share you~" before you could respond Fumikage yelled so loud that you were sure the whole building heard him yell, "DARK SHADOW!!!"

You giggled and said, "We'll see."
