As you sat at your desk doing what seemed like never ending paperwork, you lied your head down and rested for a moment, which turned into 20 minutes. It was roughly 12:44am and you had been doing hero work all day, so doing boring paperwork in a dimly lit area made you quite tired.

Suddenly, your phone screen lit up and your text tone went off, "A text message is here!" This sudden noise caused you to jolt upright. You picked up your phone and saw you got a text from the one and only, Toshinori Yagi.

You clicked on the notification and your phone screen brought you to the text app, and your eyes became wide as you scrolled through about 50 messages from Toshinori.

"Hey, when do you think you'll be home?"

There were more messages but you only read a few.

Feeling terrible you called Toshinori.

Toshi: "Y/N?! Are you okay? You didn't answer any of my texts I-I've been worried sick! Even your sidekicks haven't seen you in hours!"

Y/n: "Sorry Toshi... I've busy doing paperwork for the past..." You looked at the clock and yelled, "F-Four hours?!" You though 'Damn it I fell asleep'

Toshi: "*sigh* Y/n, you don't need to push yourself so hard. The public adores you already, and it's okay to..."

As Toshinori continued his long speech about how you're doing great, you stood up and started putting all the paperwork into files, drawers, envelopes, etc...

Finally you grabbed your coat and walked out the door.

Toshi: "...But anyway, you should still find the time to relax."

Y/n: "Thank you, dear, but I'm fine, really. I'm sorry for being so late I'm on my way home."

Toshi: "It's okay, Y/n. I'll be waiting, see you soon."

The call ended and you walked down the long hallway of your agency building. Finally, you came upon the elevator, stepped inside, and clicked '1st Floor'

There weren't too many stories to your agency, so it only took a few minutes to get down.

Once you arrived on the 1st floor you walked through the hallway and found the front room, still full of people. "Goodnight everyone! Stay safe tonight." You waved to your employees, they all stood up and bowed in unison as a response.

After you successfully made it home, you took the keys out of your car and stepped out into the cold night air. "When did it get so cold?" You mumbled to yourself as you shut the car door, locked it, and walked up the path to the front door.

Before you could unlock the door, you were met by a very worried Toshinori. "Y/n!" He pulled you into a tight embrace, which you happily accepted. You snuggled up close to him and said, "Sorry for taking so long." Toshinori just let out a weak laugh and said, "It's okay. C'mon, lets go inside, it's too cold out here."

You laughed in response and walked with Toshinori inside. Toshinori helped you out of your coat and hung it on a rack.

While Toshinori took his own coat off you sniffed the air and asked, "What smells so good?" Toshinori chuckled and said, "Nothing gets past you, huh?" You giggled and said, "Nothing gets past the number one hero, All Might." Toshinori smiled and replied, "Alright then, number one, lets eat."

You followed Toshinori into the kitchen and asked, "Toshi...you didn't wait to eat, right?" He shook his head and said, "No no, I'm just hungry again."

You sat at the dining room table and enjoyed the food, Toshinori was surprisingly a great cook. "I saw your heist on the news today." Toshinori said, breaking the silence. You shrugged and said, "It was pretty boring..." Toshinori made a dumb face at you and said, "You got shot in the arm."

You raised your hands in the air and said, "It bounced off of me!" Toshinori laughed and said, "Your day must be boring if you can't get hurt, huh?" You sighed and replied, "Well...I guess."

Silence filled the room and the only thing that could be heard was the sound of utensils clanking on plates.

After the both of you finished your meal, you helped Toshi clean up the kitchen.

"Y/n, go lay down you look like you need rest!"

"Nope! I'm well enough to clean and hang out. Plus I've been away all day, the least I can do is help."

Toshinori sighed in defeat and dried the now clean dishes.

After you finished cleaning the kitchen you walked over to the living room to clean up. It was already fairly clean, besides the few pillows on the ground and empty wrappers on the table. Before you could move forward, Toshinori wrapped his arms around your waist and said, "No. Go to sleep."

He dragged you off into your shared bedroom as you continued to protest, "Noo! I can go help! I wanna help!" Toshinori sighed and said, "First you need to help yourself. Lets go to sleep it's already past 1am." You looked at the digital clock on your nightstand and saw he was right, 1:20am.

You gave up struggling and changed into pajamas, by the time you turned to your bed, Toshinori was already lying down, snuggled up in the comforter.

"Stalker." You said teasingly, Toshinori sat up and said, "H-Hey! I didn't watch you change! You laughed as he wiped blood from his mouth. "We're married Toshi, why do you still make such a big fuss about that joke?" Toshinori lied back down and smiled, then responded, "I dunno, I just don't wanna upset you I guess."

You walked up to your side of the bed and climbed in and under the comforter. You snuggled up close to Toshinori and he flicked off his nightstand light, then adjusted to hold you.

"Please go to sleep, and don't worry about work tomorrow. I'll handle it." Toshinori said as he rubbed your back gently. You looked up to his face and said, "You're not coming out of retirement." He chuckled and said, "No I meant I'd call you off tomorrow. You need to come up with a healthy schedule and stick to it, I'll help."

You giggled and said, "Of course, dad." Toshinori looked down at you and laughed, "I'm just looking out for you, it is my job to keep you safe." You shook your head and said, "And it's my job to make sure you're safe..." You traced small circles over the injured part of his stomach through his large t-shirt.

Toshinori sighed and said, "You know that isn't your fault, you were almost halfway across the country when that happened." You gripped onto his shirt and said, "I know but...I still arrived...too late.." Toshinori kissed your forehead and said, "Y/n, that day was destined to happen. And you were there the 2nd time, haha, you made sure I didn't die then."

You clung onto Toshinori and nodded, he was right. He was always destined to battle All for One, and he was lucky to make it out alive both times. You couldn't blame yourself for something you couldn't control.

You stopped talking and closed your eyes, gently drifting off to sleep as Toshinori stroked your back and began humming a sweet tune.
