[D. Kaminari] -Soulmate AU-

It was a warm, cloudy, and mostly peaceful day, when a swarm of hero course students made their way to the support hall.

You stayed in class, but most of the class left to get equipment. Bored, you pulled out a sapphire blue pen and rolled up your sleeve. You hummed to the music playing in your earbuds and began to draw cat faces, little lightning bolts, and bubbles.

There was a brief break in between songs and that's when you heard people piling into the room. You rolled your sleeve down and set the blue pen onto your desk when suddenly someone put their hands on your shoulders. You pulled out your earbuds and turned to see a spiky haired red head smiling a toothy grin.

You smiled a little and said, "Oh hey Kirishima, what's up?" He chuckled and said, "Kaminari and I got some new equipment! Wanna see?" You nodded and Kirishima led you over to the support hallway, only then you realized Kirishima had his hero costume on.

Once you made it over to the support hallway with Kirishima, you saw Kaminari talking to Hatsume about something. "Hey Kaminari! Show L/n what you got!" Kirishima said as you made your way over. Kaminari turned around, his left sleeve was rolled up and there was little markings on it.

Kaminari smiled and held up his right arm to show a disk like item on his wrist, he smiled and said, "Look L/n, it's a Sharpshooting thingy!" You walked up to him and Hatsume went on and on about how her inventions are her babies and how this one is perfect for Kaminari, but instead of listening to Hatsume your eyes wandered down to Kaminari's left arm.

Thats when you saw it, the drawings you had made. You looked up at Kaminari and said, "Hey! Your left arm." You rolled up your left sleeve and showed him the markings. His eyes widened and he said, "Yeah, did you not know?" Confused you tilted your head to the side, Kaminari just laughed and rubbed the back of his head, then said, "Wow I thought you would have realized, don't you remember I told you my name, quirk, and class?"

You just stood there, feeling absolutely dumb. How did I not realize?!

Kaminari laughed and hooked his arm around your shoulder, then said, "Don't worry, it's okay! You can make up for it by joining me on a date." You giggled and said, "Sounds good,
Kami-kun! Hehehe" He removed his arm from your shoulders and grabbed your hand, but before he could say anything Hatsume said, "Hey! There's other people still here. Make sure you take care of my babies!"

Kaminari nodded and said, "Uh- right! C'mon
L/n lets go!" He ran down the hallway dragging you with him. You laughed and said, "Kami-kun get changed first!" He stopped running and groaned, then let go of your hand and ran away in the opposite direction yelling, "I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!"

You went back to the classroom and gathered your things, then on your way out the door Kaminari was standing there panting and gasping for air. You hurriedly walked up to him and asked, "Woah are you okay?" He nodded then held up his signature thumbs up and said, "Yup, I'm okay- just- out of breath!"

You giggled and grabbed onto his hand, then began walking. Kaminari regained his steady breathing and said, "You're really kind, L/n..." You looked up at him and saw he was a little sad, but also genuinely happy.

When Kaminari was younger he would constantly get rejected by the girls he liked, which wouldn't have been a problem, but he would constantly get made fun of for that, and for his quirk's side effects. Since his quirk fried his brain he used to be rather intelligent, but careless use of his quirk lead to him becoming less intelligent. Over the years you would talk to Kaminari and help comfort him with kind messages.

You squeezed his hand and smiled at him, Kaminari looked at you and smiled softly.

You giggled and asked, "Wanna go grab boba?"

Kaminari smiled brightly and accepted, "Yeah!"
