Hyunjin's POV

I was with Felix in the hospital room, stroking his hand and looking at him hoping he would wake up. The first flowers were blooming on the almond trees, heralding the approach of spring. The almond blossoms were like a caress, good news after a long time in the cold, a hug after hours spent crying. So why didn't mine arrive?

I left the room, heading to the vending machines to get a hot coffee. I took a look around, watching the doctors go by, listening to some conversation going on in reception.

-Who are you?- I heard the voice of Hayoon, Felix's nurse.

-We are the parents... we would like to see him- a feminine and graceful voice made me turn my head, with the steaming glass of coffee in my hands. I looked at the features of the lady a few meters from me, I frowned at her, I was sure I'd seen her before. She was brunette, with her hair styled in a bob to the jawline, her medium-sized body covered in sophisticated, well-matched clothing.

I shifted my gaze to the gentleman next to her, hair sparse and almost absent, and a chubby face. He was very robust, with a fake courtesy smile plastered on his face from which all the stupidity was glimpsed. I took a sip of my coffee, being careful not to get caught staring at the.

-Okey, it's room number 10, further on- said Hayoon. I turned abruptly, it was Felix's room.

It had been more than three months since he fell into a coma and his parents were only now coming. Maybe it was better if they didn't come.

I darted into the room before they could see me and closed the door behind me, sighing. I looked at Felix lying on the couch and sat down on the chair, waiting for them to come in. Ten seconds later I heard the handle go down and took a long sigh, now I had to face them for Felix's sanity.

The two parents entered and as soon as they noticed me I stood up, anger steaming in my brain. I walked confidently towards them and held out my hand.

-Hi, you are Felix's parents, right?- I asked- Um, yes it's us. Who are you...?- asked the lady.-A friend, please sit down- I said seriously, shaking their hands.

-I know everything- they exchanged a frown and then turned their attention to me.

-E-everything what?- she asked me.

I huffed in annoyance at their audacity to do certain things and then lie about it.

-Like that his father raped him sexually and his mother beat him and hurt him not only psychologically- I said and they looked at me as if I had swallowed a hedgehog without chewing it.

-W-what? It's not true...- said the mother. I watched them, she kept tapping her foot on the ground, a symbol of agitation and he kept turning his wedding ring around for the same reason. And they were lying.

-He told me everything. Because of you he started to harm himself and fell into chronic depression, leading to anorexia and lack of sleep- I proclaimed.

-Who the fuck are you to tell us?!- snapped the father.

-And who the fuck are you to treat him like an animal?!- I yelled in a louder voice, drowning out his.

-I enjoyed being inside him, you took him away from me- he said, giving me a look full of hate.

-You raped and sexually harassed him and I can gladly denounce you- I criticized, making him shiver.

-You are his parents. You should have treated him like your own child, helped him deal with his mental problems, but you just made them worse! I have seen. I saw all the bruises and cuts he had, I saw him hitting rock bottom, I saw how you treated him! You gave him mental trauma that now means so much to his medical condition!- I burst out

-He might not wake up,- I whispered, my tears skimming the line between lashes and skin.

They looked mortified for a moment, but how was I to know that this wasn't just a mask of feigned compassion and repentance?

-Get out of here. I don't want to see you anymore and neither does Felix. He hates you.- I said calmly as they crossed the border of the door. I let out a long sigh, it was over. I looked at Felix, shaking his hand and resting my forehead on our union.

-Felix, I know I don't have your permission but I want to report them. I can't wait any longer,- I said, kissing the back of his hand.

-Sorry- I whispered as my tears fell like raindrops.
