*Narrator* 31st May

It was the beginning of summer. The school year was almost over and Amanda was going through a tough time. Not only she had broken up with the cutest boy of high school, but her grades were also not satisfying.

'I'm telling you, Lauren, I am so screwed. My mom is going to kill me!'

'You are over thinking. Your mom is awesome!'

'My grades are terrible, there's no way I am going through this with just a warning. I don't really care; I have more to think about.'

Amanda had always been a common student, with no extraordinary grades or behaviour. But these last times had been more difficult because of the break-up.

'Ok, let's sleep. Tomorrow is the last day of school and I don't wanna get in there looking like a zombie.' - Amanda said.

*Amanda* 1st June

It's the first of June. I can't believe I've let things get this messy. I don't wanna go to school, or watch Zack holding hands with that ***.

'C'mon let's go downstairs.' I said.

We walked downstairs and Cole was already in the kitchen. I grabbed an apple and gave Lauren a slice of Cole's toast.

'Eyyy!'

'Shut up, stupid!'

'Amanda Marie, do not say that to your brother!' Oh, my mom is adorable.

'Love you, mom! We'll eat at school.'

I shut the door behind me and we took the bus to school. We arrived at 9am and still had time to go to the bar; the Biology class would only start at 9.30am. I and Lauren walked in and my eyes immediately stopped on something I did not want to see. At all!

'Oh look, Zack's in good company.'

'Calm down, Amanda. You broke up, remember? He's single now.'

Sometimes the truth hurts. Yes, he was no longer mine. The cutest boy in high school was no longer my boyfriend. I had to get used to it. Still, Lauren's worthless effort in keeping me away was only making me even more jealous.

'I see you get over things fast...' - I approached his table.

He stopped swallowing her tongue (gross) and looked at me from head to toe.

'Yes, I have something more interesting to think about, don't you see?' (Ouch, that hurt)

'Asshole...' - I whispered, turning my back.

'You bet, Amanda.'
