Math class passes slowly, just like always, and miraculously I was actually able to concentrate on the work.

When the bell rings, my calm instantly ends as I remember the ever-nearing "lunch meeting".

Thankfully however, one last lesson stands between me and becoming a meal. PE class.

We all exit the classroom and everyone splits into their different groups of friends, chatting eagerly about random topics.

Gabriel ends up joining a couple other classmates in conversation, leaving me alone, which honestly I am happy about. With this storm cloud hanging over me I am thankful to have some peace.

I change into my PE uniform as quickly as possible and head to the inside gymnasium. Normally during the summer and when the weather allows it, we are outside and the class splits into two groups, one the the guys and one for the girls. Now however, with the weather as it is, we stay inside, and the entire class is in one group.

I sit on the bleachers having arrived before the teacher, and just stare blankly at the empty court. A couple of the gyaru girls from my class are standing in the corner chatting, and judging by the fact that they haven't changed into their uniforms, I assume they will try to speak to the teacher about skipping. They'll probably pull some lie about not feeling well or something.

After a few minutes of sitting there and thinking to myself, the rest of the class starts arriving in clusters, and after all the students are in place, our teacher arrives.

Like I expected, the two girls are dismissed without much discussion, I suppose doing anything is more of a hassle than is worth.

That all cleared up, we all assemble on the court in a half circle around the teacher as he explains what we will be doing today.

"Today we will be playing volleyball, so I would appreciate some strong volunteers to help me set up the nets, the rest of you will jog around the edge of the court as a warm-up." Mr Grahm states, and then when the students raise their hands, he picks five of the boys, which of course earns him a couple annoyed looks and whispers among the girls, which he ignores.

I keep my hand down, and would rather just run around.

Normally I would try to be in the "above average" group, running just a little bit faster than most, but not enough to get tired, but now I am content running right in the middle of the pack.

Throughout the entire time I am in a near-daze state, which is probably mostly due to my lack of sleep. I was passed out for almost an entire day though yesterday, so shouldn't I be completely awake!? I guess fainting from blood-loss isn't exactly restful?

Five laps in Mr Grahm blows his whistle, signaling for everyone to gather again for further instructions.

He first quickly explains the rules, which doubtless everyone here knows by now, and then divides the class in two. While the class still technically has PE in one big and undivided group, the girls and boys are still separated.

Four nets have been set up, the girl's teams get to play against each other on two of them, and the guy's teams get to play each other on the other two. Every team has four players, except a couple of them have three, and in those cases, the team playing has to have one player constantly switched off.

I get put in one of the teams with only three players, so every so often I get to sit on the bench.

Unlike a lot of students here, I really enjoy PE. I don't have any issue with getting sweaty or working hard, and am technically pretty athletic.

I sigh. What is wrong with me? I get kidnapped by a girl and now I am falling apart.

The teacher blows the whistle that it is time for me and a teammate to switch places again and I chuckle a bit. You know what? I'm tougher than this! I can handle someone like Inesa! Why am I so nervous!? Ok.. Well I realize that me hyping myself up like this is totally worthless, but I have to stop acting all pathetic.

Forcing my emotions into control I get up and take my place on the volleyball court. And guess what!? I scored points nine times during the rest of PE. Which I have to say, is pretty impressive.

But when the lesson ends I look up towards the bleachers and nearly choke. Towards the back are a group of upperclassmen watching our lesson, and my eyes instantly seek out the pink haired one, who upon eye contact, gives me a mischievous smile, and weirdly enough, my nervousness vanishes for a moment when I realize something.

She looks completely ordinary sitting in a group like that. Had it not been for her hair or our previous meetings, I never even would have given her a second thought. Which.. Feels odd to admit.

...

In the shower I quickly spread the shampoo suds all over my body before hurriedly rinsing off. During the entire day I have been dreading lunch, but at this point I just want to get it over with. Valorie said I'd be fine, so I should be okay. So I am just gonna to meet Inesa, do what I've got to do, and then eat lunch. Thereafter I can simply go about my day. Easy. Nothing to worry about.

With that mindset I dry myself off, and before anyone has the time to ask me to eat lunch with them, I get dressed and head towards the meeting place.
