"Wakey-wakey cutie. Sun's up, it's a new day!" A sudden flash of light breaks me out of my comfortable dreams, and instead it feels like every muscle in my body tenses up from shock.

Half asleep I can barely process what is going on. "Morning already?.." I once again relax when I recognize the figure who had just pulled the pink curtains. The incredibly soft bed I'm lying on just seems to draw me in.

Despite not having any blankets, I can't imagine being any more comfortable.

Wait.. Pink curtains?

"I'm not gonna ask how you got here, even less how you fell asleep, but it looks like you got some good sleep, so I'm glad."

Realizing where I am, I sit up so quickly that my stomach nearly cramps up.

"I... I uhm.. I don't really.. know how.. I got here.." Despite me being half awake at this point, I can still feel my cheeks warm up from embarrassment.

Valorie giggles warmly. "Don't worry about it. I mean it. Although it is a little ironic that you would end up relaxing in this room don't you think?" She gestures widely towards the room.

So last night I couldn't sleep.. So I ended up snooping, and somehow I just laid down for a few moments.. Ohh.. Yea.. That's what happened. The bed was so soft that I couldn't help but stay a few more short moments, and before I knew it.. Morning.

"The time!" I wake up even more realizing that I left my phone with the alarm in the other room.

"You are good on time. Your alarm went off just a minute ago, and when you didn't seem to hear it I came upstairs. There is plenty of time for breakfast and for me to touch up your neck.

I let out a big breath that I apparently was holding, before stretching and letting out a massive yawn. "Breakfast?"

"I've been up for a while, so I made some eggs with bacon. A bonafide western breakfast." She states cheerfully.

Now that she mentioned it, there is a faint smell of fried pork even up here. My mouth begins to water at just the idea of it. Although I told Valorie last night that I had already eaten, admittedly, my supper was pretty minimal.

Getting out of Inesa's bed I rub the remaining sleep out of my eyes.

Valorie chuckles mischievously, which for a moment worries me. "Now you've left behind your scent in her bed. That is bound to drive Inesa crazy tonight."

Ohh.. Wait what!?

She smirks, the glint in her eyes lingering for several moments as she imagines the scenario.

"Anyhow. You should get some food in you. Everything is waiting for you at the table. I'm gonna take a quick bath while you do that." And just like that, Valorie walks out of the room, her hips swaying perfectly with each step.

For some reason, her words resonate with me.

I'm thankful that she's already left the room, because my blushing face would have been impossible to hide otherwise.

What the heck is wrong with you Hal!? What is with that reaction!? Taking a bath is perfectly normal, nothing to get flustered about.

But then I remember something I've heard about a succubus. Aren't they supposed to have some sort of powerful pheromone? Of course. That has to be it.

...

I finish eating just a few moments before Valorie comes down the stairs from her bath.

She is wearing a simple red turtleneck sweater with a pair of black jeans. Her hair is lazily wrapped up in a loose bun.

"Food to your liking?" She immediately asks when she enters the room.

"Of course! It was delicious. Thank you for the food." I half bow where I'm standing. "What do you want me to do with my dishes?"

"You can just put them on the counter, I'll deal with them later."

I do as she says, and when I turn back around she is standing in front of the hallway mirror letting down her hair.

I look at my watch, and find that I need to leave for school in less than thirty minutes, accounting for being closer to school.

"Come. I'd like to get your makeup perfect." She winks.

"Ok."

Valorie leads me to the living room and makes sure to open the curtains as much as possible, filling the entire room with sunlight. While this room isn't acing the sunrise like Inesa's room, it is just as bright.

"I'll be right back, just need to get my stuff." She half-jogs out of the living room, and just a moment later she returns with a simple black makeup bag.

I sit down on the armchair like she suggests, and she then starts laying out all the different "random" makeup stuff. Even though Inesa explained the process the last time, I can't really claim to have grasped it.

A thought comes to my mind, but I hesitate to say it out loud.

"What is it? You can speak your mind." Somehow, even standing behind me Valorie is able to read that something is up.

Valorie has somehow already begun brushing on the first layer. It is obvious who Inesa learned from.

Whatever. I'll just go for it and regret being rude later. "Have you even gotten any sleep? You were out for I have no idea how long, and then was up for a while before me." What I really want to know is what she was doing.

She laughs quietly at my question, probably guessing what I want, but only answers what I explicitly asked. "I haven't had any."

"None!? Then how are you even awake!? What were you doing?" Looking at her I'd never have guessed.

Now that I went and asked what I really wanted to, she lets out a small giggle before answering.

"I was out.. Collecting energy."

I freeze up at the thought. My suspicions are confirmed.

"With you here I've gotta keep the right state of mind. The bonus effect is that I don't need to sleep."

"I.. I see.." I decide not to press the subject any more.
