Ale: Thank you
Alex lets go and sits down, Max goes to sit down next to her
Max: What happened?
Ale: You don't know?
Max: No
Ale: Then why are you here?
Max: I was worried. I had a bad feeling.
Ale: You're feeling was right.
Max: What happened Alex?
Ale: Alex... hm.
Max: Sorry, my name is Max. Zara gave me your address, she was worried too. I went to your house and it was full of police tape... so I pulled my daughter of a cop card.
Alex snickers
Ale: Hi, I'm Alex, nice to meet you. I went to sleep last night, I felt really bad, the entire day already so I went to sleep. The next thing I remember is me waking up in a pool of blood in the kitchen and seeing my whole family dead on the ground, everything in between is black, nothing.
Max: Oh, um... wow. I'm sorry, Alex.
Ale: I woke up, in a pool of my family's blood, I don't know what happened but they're dead, all of them, there was this trail of blood, leading from the stairs to my little brother, he was only 13, he was barely born and already dead. My mother and my father were lying next to the stove and were holding each other hands, probably because they were scared, my sister was lying at the door, I think she tried to escape, and somehow, I am the only one that survived that night. Whatever did this, let me live, why?
Max: I ... I don't know.
Ale: What am I gonna do now? My entire family is dead.
Max: I ...
Max hugged Alex.
Max: I'm sorry, Alex. This must be hell.
Max let go
Ale: Apparently I have an aunt I didn't know about. My mom's sister
Max: And you didn't know?
Ale: No, but now I have to go live with them
Max: Oh...
Ale: It's close by, so I get to keep going to the same school.
Max: Alex. Everything will be okay, I know it doesn't seem like it, but it will be okay.
Ale: How do you know?
Max: I don't, it's just a feeling.
Ale: And you have good instinct apparently
Max: Apparently
Ale: What's with the hair?
Max: What's with yours
Alex laughs
Ale: I don't know how it happened, it doesn't suit me though
Max: It's kinda cute
Ale: Don't lie
Max: I did like your brown hair more, BUT we're in this together. I didn't choose this either
Ale: You didn't?
Max: That's why I came to find you. I think we had the same thing happen to us
Ale: Which is?
Max: A long story, Alex.
Max handed Alex her phone
Max: Give me your number, and I will help you.
Alex entered her number and gave the phone back
Ale: You think the hair and the massacre of my family is related?
Max sighs
Ale: You do!
Max: I didn't say that
Ale: Your face did. Do you think I had something to do with the massacre?
Max twitches
Ale: YOU DO! You do? ... you do
Max: No, Alex. I don't. I don't. I can explain
Ale: Go on then
Max: Just... as soon as you are free, text me. We'll meet up and I'll explain, I promise. I just can't do it here.
Ale: Why not?
Max: It's complicated. Please, trust me? Zara said you trusted me, so, trust me.
Ale: I do, trust you. Weirdly enough. I do. Do you trust me?
Max: Yes
Ale: So, you're not afraid I'm gonna murder you?
Max: No. Last night was a full moon, Alex. But, this room does have security footage and I've already said too much, so. Trust me
Max gets up
Max: And I am really sorry about your family, Alex. No one deserves that.
Ale: Thanks, Max. Really.
Max walks out the door
Max: Thank you, for letting me talk to her.
Cla: You're welcome. Now, go to school.
Max: I called sick, duh.
Cla: You're not, though. Are you?
Max: No, but I needed to help my friend.
Cla: Well then you can help her move her stuff, too.
Max: What?
Cla: The cops are gathering her things from the house. As soon as they're back we're bringing Alex to her aunt. Maybe you can be useful and help her through it, since she doesn't know her aunt
Max: Okay, sure
Cla: Right. But right now. You go to my desk and sit there, think about what you did
Max: Which is?
Cla: I don't know, just do something.
Claire goes back to Alex.
Max: Hey, Vex. Thanks for helping me out
Vex: That's what siblings are for. But since you don't need me anymore, Ima go back to Lincoln's
Max: That's good, have fun. Say hi for me
Vex: Will do, see ya
Vex walks away
