Skip to Max walking Alex back to her house in the CC.
Ale: I'll be okay, eventually
Max: You sure? It's a lot to take in
Ale: I wish we had a therapist here, but we don't.
Max: You can always talk to me, Alex.
Ale: I know, thank you.
Alex stopped walking and hugged Max, long. Max slowly pulled away and looked Alex in the eyes
Max: I know you know. And I want to be your friend, Alex. More than anything else, I want to be here for you. But I need you to tell me, in honest words, that you and I aren't going to happen. Because I can't live with this ... this feeling, of hope. I've had a crush on you for a very long time, Alex. I just need you to be honest with me.
Alex looked down to the ground and stepped back
Ale: Honestly, of course I know, I see the way you looked at me all these years, and now. But you chose the wrong time to bring that up, Max.
Max: No, I know, listen I know. I just I need to know if I EVER stand a chance or not. That's all.
Ale: I can't tell you that. I don't feel the ... I think you're attractive, that crush wasn't always one sided. However, I can't be who you want me to be right now, and I don't know if I ever can. I think we both have a lot of things going on right now. I understand why you're telling me this, all the talking and hugging and being here for each other it gets confusing. So maybe for right now just be friends. I can't say anything past that.
Max: I understand. Thank you, for being honest. That's all I wanted, really. Now I need a good ... night? I need a day to apprehend this and fully put you in the friend zone in my mind
Max smiled
Max: Seriously, thanks Alex.
Ale: That's what friends are for.
They continue walking.
Max: So... you'll sit with me on the bus later?
Alex laughed.
Ale: I have another route now
Max looked at Alex sadly
Ale: And, Tammy always drops the others off at their school, she said she could do the same for me
Max: The others?
Ale: My cousins, their kids...
Max laughed
Max: RIGHT, sorry. It's sad though. Not seeing you ever day
Ale: You will literally see me here every single day
Max: It's not the same though, is it
Alex smiled. Skip to Max arriving at school, she walked up to Adam, Renzo and Sara.
Ren: Well hello
Sar: Where were you? You didn't even answer my texts
Max: Hi, sorry. Um, long day.
Ada: So?
Max: None of your business, is it?
Sar: wow
Ren: That's a first. Max, man, just tell us where you were.
Max: I ... helped Vex, and Lincoln
Sar: And you're mom was cool with you skipping school?
Max: Mom ... found out and took my phone
Sar: OH!
Ren: makes sense
Adam looked suspicious. Adam started walking inside the building, Max joined him
Ada: So, what happened really?
Max: Oh, just didn't feel like coming, man
Adam laughed
Ada: Seriously?
Max: Yeah.
Ada: Max Cooper.
Adam smiled at Max. Skip to Max sitting in the bus back home, the bus stopped and she got out. It was dark outside with a bit of rain, Max put on her hood and started walking. In the near distance was a little street, she heard some screaming coming from that direction. She didn't think much off it until the next scream was a cry for help. Max dropped her backpack on the ground and ran towards the noise, she turned into the street to come across two muggers with knives threatening a rich lady. The muggers turned around to see a figure with a hood on.
Mug: Leave, now.
Max deepened her voice
Max: No
Max pulled the strings on her hood tighter so her face wasn't as visible. She ran towards the muggers and started fighting them, she won easily and the two muggers ran off. Max stood with her back to the lady
Lady: Thank you. What's your name, sir?
Max turned her head a tiny bit to show the woman a nod as a sign of you're welcome, she then ran off. She grabbed her backpack on the way and ran home quickly.
