Luffy's Pov:

I get up in the morning, hoping to sneak a snack before everyone else wakes up, but upon opening the door and stepping outside of the men's quarters, I see that everyone else is already awake. I guess that means no snack for me. :(

I sniff the air. Sanji's cooking breakfast. I guess that means I won't have to wait too long after all. I jump from the wooden floor, down to the grassy deck below, smiling when landing because of the weird feeling that came from my feet entering bubbly coating. I land on the small patch of grass and am immediately greeted by my crewmates.

"Oh good morning, Captain," Robin says in the same warm tone she always used.

"OWW! GOOD MORNIN CAPTAIN! TODAY IS GONNA BE SSUUUUPERRRR"

"Good morning, Luffy," Chopper says cheerfully.

The rest of them follow suit and greet me as well. I'm so thankful that I have a crew that cares about me. I'm thankful that I have my friends. I would be nothing without them. We beat an admiral, but that was mostly thanks to Zoro, Sanji, and Hancock. I walked out of the battle unscathed, while they lay on the ground, nearly dead. I would always feel a little guilty about that. I look around the deck. I don't see Zoro or our crew's newly added ravenette.

"Hey, where are Zoro and Hancock?" I ask.

"Oh Hancock stayed up really late last night so she'll probably need a few more hours of rest, and Zoro... Well... He's Zoro, so he's sleeping up in the crow's nest" explains our orange-haired navigator.

"Oh okay. I'll let them rest, but I'm gonna wake them up whenever we're about to go under." I say with a smile.

Nami already had our destination pinpointed and now it was just a matter of time until we began to go underwater. I figured I'd have to find something to do to keep myself occupied.

About Two Hours Later...

Hancock's Pov:

*BANG BANG BANG BANG*

"NOT SO HARD, JACKASS! YOU'LL BREAK THE DOOR IF YOU KEEP BEING A DUMBASS!"

"Sorry..."

*Knock knock knock*

"Uhhh... Come in," I groan.

What was that? Why was it so loud?

The door swings open and the room inundates with light. After a few blinks, my eyes adjust, and I can see...At the doorway stands my dearest Luffy. I immediately sit up to greet him.

"Oh, Uhh, Good morning, Luffy dear. What is it that you want?" I ask.

I spent every hour of last night, regaining my composure and acknowledging that what Luffy said was real. It was for this reason that I was still a bit tired, but that didn't matter. If Luffy needed me then I had to be willing to help him.

"Yeah I'm waking you up because we're about to go underwater, and I want everyone to be there with me when we go under, so we call all see it together." He says.

Suddenly, my somnolence dissipates, and within the blink of an eye, Im standing in front of him. He combs his fingers through his raven black hair, something we have in common. He smiles.

"Woah that was fast." He says.

I blush... He places a welcoming hand in mine and begins to walk me down to the deck. Upon arriving at the patch of green, Im warmly welcomed by all of the crewmates. Luffy releases my hand. We stand on the stairs that go down onto the main deck.

"Oh good morning, Hancock," Nami said.

"Hanco-" Sanji started, before having a nosebleed.

Chopper patted him on the back.

"Great job Sanji. You didn't even turn to stone. The therapy I've been giving you is really working. I'm proud of you."

Sanji smiled, delighted to get the doctor's approval. After the little scene and a few laughs, the rest of the crew greets me as well. I return their hospitality and speak to them in the friendliest manner I can muster. I no longer want to be nice to them exclusively because I want Luffy to be happy. I truly care about these people now.

That's what makes my beloved Luffy and his crew different from the average pirate crew. These people weren't just crewmates, they were companions, and they cared deeply for each other. Once the salutations were out of the way, I turn my attention away from my fellow Strawhats and towards our surroundings. We were slowly sinking beneath the surface. Once we were fully submerged, my mouth went agape at the sight around us. As a devil fruit user, I've never been able to see what the ocean is like under the surface. It truly was a sight to behold. I take a step back, which leads me to bump into Luffy.

I look behind me to see his response. He laughs and wraps his arms around me. It was like a dream come true. The display only became more breathtaking as we advanced towards the ocean floor. As we ventured through the vast depths of the sea, the aquarium that encircled us only became more stunning. As the Sunny descended, it bypassed an array of glistening fish, flowing kelp, vivid coral that sat upon hills of sand, and many of the other things that the marine ecosystem had to exhibit.

The exhibition was wild enough on its own, but my happiness was only amplified by the fact that I got to watch this beautiful scenery within the arms of my dearest Luffy. Joy completely surged within me. He would occasionally shout with enthusiasm as we plunged deeper.

He would cheer things like, "WOAH THAT'S SO COOOOL!" and, "OOH OOH SANJI CAN WE COOK IT!?" I remained quiet, I was determined to enjoy every second of this dream while it lasted.

Ultimately, it became darker and harder to see the things around us. I thanked the heavens for providing me with my fantasy, and accepted that the show was over.

"THAT WAS SO COOL!" Luffy cheered.

He released me from his embrace and jumped over my head to the center of the grassy plain. I smiled. Seeing him so carefree and cheerful did wonders for my happiness.

Nami walks up to me.

"Congrats, sis." She says.

And then she walks back to wherever she was before...I take the time to look around at everyone else on the ship.

Usopp and Chopper were crying about how cold, dark, and quiet the depths had become. Sanji was swooning over Nami, who paid no attention to his shenanigans. Robin stood against the railing, peering out into the darkness, with a smile on her face. Beside her stood Zoro, doing the same thing.  They would occasionally make remarks or jokes, but it seemed that they rather enjoyed the peace and quiet. Franky and Brook were chatting with each other, while also congratulating a confused Luffy.

I vastly enjoyed the atmosphere established by the soft chatter and genuineness that was emitted from everyone on the ship. It felt as if everyone was being true to who they were. I felt like I was surrounded by family, even if I wasn't getting involved with any of them at the moment.Though I assume that they leave me to my own devices out of respect. They probably don't want to besiege me. Unexpectedly, a loud, indistinguishable noise radiates through the black waters. Franky turns on the lights. He's quite the shipwright, for I had yet to see any pirate ship with controllable lights on the figurehead, prior to joining Luffy's crew.

"AHHHH WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" Usopp cried out.

"I DON'T WANNA DIE! IM TOO YOUNG!" Chopper said, beginning to sob.

"Maybe whatever it is will kill us fast enough for our death to be painless," Robin said nonchalantly.

"DON'T SAY THAT!!" Everyone shouted at her with shark-like teeth.

Once again, Luffy only laughs in the face of possible death.

We proceed to look towards the front of the ship since that is where our only light source is. Suddenly, our view is blocked by a giant yellow leviathan...
