Hancock's Pov:

"WOAH THAT'S SO COOL! I WANNA KEEP IT!" Luffy exclaimed.

Nami, Ussop, and Chopper express their disapproval, but they were outnumbered by all of the others who either didn't care or agreed with Luffy. I fell into the second category.

The Kraken tried to destroy the ship, but Franky managed to save us with his guard cannon. The Kraken tried once again to crush the ship, but Chopper turned into some giant fluff ball that prevented the Kraken from doing so. All of us, other than Luffy, become more frantic. We would all die if we didn't do something soon. He was still talking about going out to tame the enormous monster.

Seeing her lack of a choice, and how we would die if something wasn't done, Nami reluctantly goes to get the bubble Instant Diving Suits that Rayleigh gave us in case of an emergency.

She sends Sanji and Zoro with Luffy so that he wouldn't get himself killed. Together the three go out to fight the giant beast. I knew that the Kraken didn't stand a chance, but I still wanted Luffy to be safe.

Considering we are so far from the surface, there would be no way for any of us to save him if his bubble popped. The water pressure would kill us if we attempted to leave our bubbles.

I silently begged the heavens to give him a safe venture. He needed to survive. He was to be King of the Pirates, I wouldn't allow him to die here.

We can't hear them through the dense water and because we are pretty far away, so all we can do is watch from a distance. The three float in the water, staring down the beast in front of them. Luffy prepares to attack.

I stare at the scene intently as he goes into Gear Third. He inflates his fist and wrist and infuses his arm with haki. He lets his arm out of the bubble and tries to attack. But he struggles as he is weakened by the seawater. He could barely move the giant arm.

I grow worried as I see the Kraken preparing to attack him. He wouldn't be able to dodge or attack in time. However, Sanji leaves his bubble and begins to swim towards the leviathan. Sanji's immense speed was comparable to that of a Fishman underwater.

It was a surprise that he could survive under all of this water pressure, but it was a welcome surprise.

Though the pressure of the water must have been tens of thousands of kilograms, he showed no slowness or difficulty striding through the water. He uses the same technique he used in our fight against Kizaru.

He spins and ignites his leg on fire. I'm taken aback by the fact that he can still ignite his leg underwater. He brutally attacks the beast and saves Luffy.

"WOAH HE'S LIKE A FISHMAN. THAT'S SO COOOOOL!" Ussop yells in excitement.

Zoro follows suit by attacking the Kraken as well. He sends out air slashes so powerful that they could move through the hundreds of meters of water and still reach the target. Not only did they reach the giant octopus, but the slashes also diced one of the giant yellow tentacles into pieces.

Those two were truly powerful. We didn't get to see our strength much in the fight against Kizaru, because he took our strongest attacks like they were nothing, but this truly displayed their strength.

Of course, Luffy was still the strongest, but I was pleasantly surprised at how powerful Zoro and Sanji where. I knew that they were the three most powerful members of the crew, other than me, and that's why they were selected to help fight an admiral, but I had no idea that they were this strong. What sort of training had they been through in the past two years?

We can't hear them, but they seem to be having a discussion. Finally, Luffy begins to pull his giant fist down towards the giant octopus. He hits it and all seems to have worked out. Their collaborative attack was a success.

A small shark exits the Kraken, it appears that he had been eaten. But before we can pay attention to the shark for too long, we notice that Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are being pulled down into the black waters below.

They don't show any concern at all as they sink lower into the water.

"It's the downwards plume, it's pulling them to the bottom of the ocean. There is nothing we can do except meet them when we get down there." Nami says.

I grow indignant at her remark. She couldn't leave them at the bottom of the ocean, they would die. I jump off of the ship and prepare to dive into the water, ignoring my devil-fruit related weakness.

I am stopped and pulled back on board the ship by Robin's hands. I look over to her, waiting for an explanation. To which she gives me.

"Hancock, you are weak to water as well. You will die if you leave the ship. Trust in Luffy. He has lived through more dangerous situations before, he'll be able to handle himself. Nami is right, we will all meet when we reach the bottom of the ocean."

She was right. I had to have faith in Luffy. After all that had happened, did I still see him as someone who was weak and needed to be saved? No, I saw him for the incredible man he was. He would be fine.

I continue to tell myself this as we don't deeper into the miry depths of the ocean. After a few minutes of not seeing or hearing anything, I begin to cry.

He will be fine. He's Luffy, he's strong. They will be fine. I kept telling myself these things to keep myself calm, but I didn't know how long those phrases would subside my worry.

Robin walks up beside me and places a hand around my shoulder. Reassuring me that everything will be okay. Even though I am more comfortable around the rest of the crew, I still feel a closer connection to Robin. I felt as though we had a lot in common. And I felt more welcome around her.

It was probably because if the fact that she was the first face I saw and the person who let me out of my cuffs. She's always nice to me and everyone else on the crew. Her hug calms me slightly, and I return the favor.

We continued to wait for something. But nothing happened we saw nothing but the blackness of the water around us and no indication of Luffy and the others. We grew more concerned and decided to look all around the ship.

All of the crew members were spread around the ship, looking over the edge, desperate for a sign of them, but as we sank deeper, no sign came. We began to sink lower, with everyone trying to keep a calm demeanor.

Most of them succeeded. The exceptions were me and Chopper. He began to wail and I shed a few tears. We had begun to fear the worst.

Soon after, we reached the ocean floor and had still not heard or seen any of them. I began to lose hope. My mind began to flood with thoughts that I don't want to remember.

I begin to feel the same hopeless feeling I felt when in that cell. The same powerlessness that I felt when I received those handcuffs. What would I do if Luffy was gone?

I remind myself that it was Luffy and his crew that saved me from that helpless feeling. I held on dearly to the last sliver of hope I had left.

"Let's continue towards Fishman Island maybe we'll see them on the way there," Nami said.

I didn't protest, we needed to move to find them. I just prayed that we would run into them along the way and tried to keep calm. Suddenly, we see something, and it appears to be alive.
