It was Sunday at my mama's, and we were all loungin' in the living room like usual. I was sprawled out on the couch, while my twin siblings, Keninn and Khalise, were in their usual spots-Keninn on the floor, hooked on his game, and Khalise next to me, glued to her phone.
Keninn glanced over his shoulder, grinning. "Maya, you remember our birthday's comin' up, right?"
I rolled my eyes playfully. "Yeah, that's all y'all been talkin' 'bout every time I see y'all."
Khalise looked up from her phone with a smirk. "Yup, big 18."
I squinted at them, smirking. "Y'all know there are two of you, right? And y'all got a mom and a dad and a Talia to give y'all shit."
My mom and dad had been together for a while when they had me first, then the twins came along six years later. When the twins were only a couple of months old, my mom came out as gay. My dad took it well, showing nothing but love, respect, and support since they'd been friends long before they were a couple.
