"Doctor? Tell us what has happened?" Keasha was buried as soon as they got out of the room, Layo was eating in there but she could not find a stomach to eat not after everything she had just seen in there, "well you have seen it yourselves, she has post-traumatic amnesia, Most people hospitalized for a traumatic brain injury experience post-traumatic amnesia, according to studies. You may not be able to remember events from days, months, or years ago in your ward's case.

The length of time that PTA lasts may indicate the severity of the brain injury. Amnesia varies in severity and scope. But even mild amnesia takes a toll on daily activities and quality of life. The syndrome can cause problems at work, at school, and in social settings. It may not be possible to recover lost memories. Some people with severe memory problems need to be supervised or need to live in a care facility.

Some people usually find it quite difficult to fit back into normal life, they should be supervised at all times, amnesia is not permanent and may just last days, weeks or months, or sometimes years."

"So she might be like that for years?" Keasha questioned terrified, the doctor shook his head, "we are not sure ma!"

"She thinks she is 12 again! She thinks we are playing some sort of prank on her, she has a scholarship she will lose! Her child's life will be affected too, how do you expect her to adjust with people she does not know?!" Keasha asked almost furious.

"Ma! You have to stay calm for Dara, everything to her might be new and foreign but with time it would add up, there is nothing we can do to snap her out of it so to say but we can always help her recover slowly by helping her reconnect with familiar places and faces if you have pictures as evidence of your friendship it would be good." the door turned to Kelson and explained.

"Hum... I do not take a lot of pictures, we just started being friends not quite long, I do not think I have a picture of us together." he lied smoothly, while Stephen stared at him.

"Well I do, I have pictures of her, Layo, and I, do you think it would help?" She asked, the doctor nodded, "I know it all seems like a mess now but trust me it will fall into place eventually you just need to have faith and show her love. I will write some prescriptions for you, you can see take them to the pharmacist."

"I cannot believe she was raped and her parents left her!" Stephen shook his and sat down next to Kelson, who had been quiet since he heard of her story.

"Who are you talking about?" Kelvin looked up at them from his phone, "Dara," Kelson answered, and as he expected, Kelvin stood to his feet and was about to walk off.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Stephen yelled his hands flew up, Kelvin's non balance angered him and he held it tightly, "are you serious man? This is what we are doing?" he asked as Kelvin.

"You just heard about that shit and you are going to walk off and not say anything?" he questioned, staring at him, Kelvin shook his head and blinked, "what are am I supposed to say? She is not my business!" he stood to his feet and started walking out of the hospital.

"You are seriously not going to talk about the girl that cannot remember anything and the fact that she was raped?!"

"Kelson?" Stephen called feeling more and more frustrated, Kelson shrugged knowing it was pointless to talk to Kelvin.

"I heard she was your lastesr bully victim," Kelvin clenched his jaw, "that is nobody's business!"

"Well it is my business now that I am back!" Kelvin scoffed, "look man, whatever I do is none of your business!" Kelvin gritted out

"But it is my business because she saved me and I will not allow you to bully her," Kelson said seriously, "what do you mean by that?"

"I mean that you should back off, she has no recollection of all of us, maybe you should finally try and make amends for being a stupid asshole for no reason," Kelson followed Stephen up the stair leaving Kelvin upset.
