"Hey! Don't get all creepy and intimidating! It's not my fault, I didn't know that a non-luminous flame was so hot! It's not as visible as a luminous flame," Mary protested.

'Since this bitch doesn't even attend her classes, I doubt she even knows what I'm talking about,' she thought.

"Mhm. A blue colored flame which produces very little light is called non-luminous flame. In other words, when a fuel undergoes complete combustion, it is non luminous flame," Kirari said. "A complete combustion......and that combustion somehow touched my Secretary on 'accident'? Were you not briefed on lab safety in class?"

Kirari's eyes narrowed. "Better watch your mouth, Saotome."

Fortunately......

......a pair of arms wrapped around the seething President from behind.

"Kirari, it's true. She didn't mean it," Sayaka reassured her fiancé.

Kirari released Mary after glaring her down.

She turned to face Sayaka, who was still wearing her uniform, with a giraffe soft toy in one arm. The soft toy Kirari gave her out of jealousy.

After all, the Clan Head saw how attached her Secretary was to the panda soft toy Yumeko gave her. Hence, she decided to get a soft toy of Sayaka's favourite animal, knowing that Sayaka would like it more precisely because it was from her fiancé.

"Hm, and what are you doing here? You're supposed to be resting," Kirari said worriedly.

"U-Um......Ririka-san woke me up," Sayaka said.

Kirari glanced at her sister who quickly looked away in a sheepish manner.

"I see."

The President swept her Secretary into her arms, earning a surprised squeak from her.

"K-Kaichou!" Sayaka blurted out.

Kirari leaned down. "Kaichou? Would you like to say that again?"

"K-Kirari! I was so surprised that it just c-came out......"

"Very well. You're going back to bed."

The couple returned to the infirmary leaving Mary and Ririka alone.

Ririka went to Mary shyly and took her hand in hers.

"You're alright? I'm sorry...I-I tried to stop b-but——"

"It's fine. I understand," Mary mumbled, kissing her hand.

Ririka's eyes sparkled. "Mary......you're getting soft!"

"Who's getting soft?! And don't look at me with those eyes!"

(A few days later and Mary already moved in to the Momobami estates)

Mary was woken up when someone knocked on her door.

The door opened and Sayaka came in.

"Hey! I didn't say that you could come in!"

Sayaka sat down on the couch anyway. Yes, the rooms in the estate were that big.

Sayaka cleared her throat before furrowing her eyebrows and sitting up straight.

"I want to spend time together!" she said confidently.

Mary blinked at her. "Wha—?!"

Sayaka seemed to have lost her confidence as she fidgeted with her hands nervously. "Um......since we're going to be sister-in-laws I figured that we should get to know one another more?"

"Sister-in-laws?!" Mary exclaimed, turning bright red. "And who wants to bond with you?!"

"B-But I spent a lot of time preparing to say that sentence to you! I even tried it in front of the mirror!" Sayaka argued. "You can't waste my efforts!"

"Wow," Mary snorted. "Not sure if you've noticed, but you and Ririka are a lot alike. Introverted, socially awkward......"

"I'm not socially awkward!"

"Oh yeah? And who did you partner up with went we went on that outing with the Student Council?"

"K-Kirari......but Midari too!"

"Heh."

"Hey, you and Kirari aren't that different too if you look at it that way. You both put on a tough exterior. But deep down you're all fluff," Sayaka said, blushing as she said the last word. "Not many people see you for who you truly are. A-And you're both bold and ambitious and good gamblers and......you know. Lesbian?"

"You're......um, your speeches are better when you don't prepare, actually. And I'm not fluff inside! I'm naturally rough and independent!"

Sayaka smiled understandingly. "Mhm. Kirari says the same to me sometimes. Then she cries. And hugs me."

Mary was taken aback. This girl had actually seen the cold-hearted President cry?

Sayaka covered her mouth in shock. "Oh...I wasn't supposed to tell anybody..."

"Well yeah," Mary muttered. "I don't even know what we're going to do."

"So you agree?! That's awesome!" Sayaka squealed. "I never asked a friend out before! This is a big improvement for my social awkwardness! I mean......we're friends right?"

Mary blushed and looked away. Sayaka even had puppy-dog eyes like Ririka.

"I guess."

Sayaka jumped out from her seat, acting once again out of character. "Alright, I'll see you tomorrow after school! We can decide what to do after!"
