Foxy heard crying from inside the back room.
"lad? ye in here?" Foxy said, poking his head into the room. After walking into the room, Foxy realized the crying was coming from inside a box, Marionette's box.
"Balloon Boy?" He said questionably as he opened the box.
"go away..." Balloon Boy said, not even bothering to look up at Foxy.
"Don't give up now matey, we still have one room." Foxy said enthusiastically.
Balloon Boy folded the letter, and put in in his pocket.
"Where is this room?..." Balloon Boy asked.
"Just over there." Foxy replied, pointing to the door on the other side of the room. Balloon Boy climbed out of the box and walked over to the door. He turned the nob slowly, wondering if anything behind this door was worse then a death row like note from Marionette.
What Balloon Boy was faced with was worse then any note he could receive. The mutilated body of the Marionette lay sprawled out on the table. His cloth stomach slit open, revealing the gears, and bones with in him. One of his arms look as it they had been ripped off with nothing but someones bare hands. His wires were pulled out of their sockets, and what damaged Balloon Boy most of all, was Marionette's face. His eyes were still open, and his face filled with the despair of never seeing BB again. At the same time, his face looked not scared, but welcoming. It looked as if he was welcoming the death, as if he just wanted the pain of emotion to stop. Balloon Boy hugged what was left of Marionette, and kissed him soft and true on his cold lips. He tasted of anger and sadness, of gilt and happiness, of all the memories of all the children, their emotions, lives and last words. The last words he never got to say.
Balloon Boy turned away. Not a word was said, and not one had to be. It was silent, completely silent but for the sound of Balloon Boys own foot steps.
