In the lively Awa'atlu a child could be seen laughing and playing with some Ilus while colorful little fishes swam around her, playfully stroking her skin and tickling her. The silvery laughter of the child was like a sweet melody for those who listened to them.

"Ìsyai, Tsireya and the others invited us to play with them, come" Hìkmoe said to her older sister.

Ìsyai smiled at her and after saying goodbye to her sea friends, she joined her sister, then walked with her towards their friends.

In the group of children, small fights were happening again, it was now routine to hear them bickering.

"I said that I do the head warrior, you the warriors under my command, you the bad guys to defeat, ..." Said one of the children pointing each one of the others.

"...and you the one to save" he said pointing Ìsyai.

The girl looked at him with a bored look, as the same story repeated itself every time:

"Ao'nung, you can't always decide the roles for the others and you can't always be the head warrior, it's unfair. And why am I always the one to save? Do I look so weak that I can't defend myself and be captured?"

"I'll be the next Olo'eyktan, it's normal that I decide and that I'm the head warrior. And you..." He said blushing a little at the end.

"Ao'nung, you'll be chosen as the next Olo'eyktan only if you prove yourself worthy, only if you are strong and righteous enough to lead the clan and make it prosper. You think your behavior is worthy of a next Olo'eyktan ?"

Ao'nung didn't speak for a few seconds then lowered his head a little ashamed of being scolded by the girl he liked.

Ìsyai realized that maybe she had been too harsh on him, after all even though their bodies were the same age, she was mentally older. She just wanted to help him correct his behavior, but children also need positive words, and if they weren't there, insecurities would be created and the situation would get worse instead of improving.

Ìsyai approached him and with a smile said:

"Hey, you'll be a great leader if you commit, one of the greatest. Now let's play, I'll be a warrior too that will protect you and the clan" she took his hand and then started playing with the others.

Ao'nung's heart was beating fast and he had a great smile on his face. He was happy, happy to be near her, happy to hold her hand. In that moment Ao'nung decided that he would always fight for the clan with Ìsyai's hand in his.

Ìsyai was sitting in her secret place admiring the horizon. Since starting this new life, she had found her missing piece, she finally felt whole.

She was really grateful to the Great Mother for giving her this second chance, for giving her the chance to truly feel alive, to finally feel like she belonged somewhere.

The Great Mother no longer appeared to her, but she constantly communicates with Ìsyai, she feels it.
From the morning breeze, to the swaying of the seaweed, to the swimming of the fishes, to the rustling of the leaves moved by the wind, and from the sound of the waves that gently wet the sand, Ìsyai hears the words of Eywa; the Great Mother has never left her side.

Híkmoe was in her Marui eating a fruit. Every time her gaze has always been fixed on the horizon, like she was waiting for something or someone who would arrive at any moment.

She didn't know why she did it either, she had tried to stop, but every time, unconsciously, she turned her gaze to the horizon as if there was a magnet that attracted her.

Híkmoe didn't know that in a few years the reason for her 'problem' would come precisely from that horizon.

At the same time, in a place far away from Awa'atlu, another child was staring at the horizon with an unconscious longing look.
His daze was abruptly interrupted by his younger brother:

"Neteyam. Neteyam!" he said over and over in heartfelt sentences.

"Y-yes? What is it, Lo'ak?" said the older boy.

"You were doing it again, you were staring at the horizon with a dumb expression. Well, a much more dumb expression than you usually do"

"LO'AK!"

Lo'ak answered him by sticking out his tongue and then ran away.

Laughter was heard throughout the forest of children joking and playing;
a peaceful and joyful atmosphere, which unfortunately would not last long.
