Heya, it's been a while. I hope u guys are doing ok!

Love the comments and suggestions, btw! Got a new idea for Red. How about a Kustard story? 😁

Let me know if you'd like me to include it here as like a side story or if you lil burritos would prefer keeping the stories separate 😉

On that note, enjoy this chapter!

Cross POV

I'll be honest, if it wasn't for the absurd amount of bandages tied around my phalanges, my hands would definitely be shaking.

I'll have to thank Geno for that later, but for now...

I AM SO FUCKING SREWED!

What does he want?

Did he figure out I lied about my magic?

Is he mad about me bumping into him earlier???

Is he going to kill me?!

Is this the end?!?!?

Would I even be able to escape it???????

Sweat dripped from my forhead as the questions kept on piling up. The soft crunch of the sand beneath my feet is nothing compared to the pounding beat of my soul cagged in my rib cage.

I held my hands close, hugging the soft bandages as if they were a cushion, a habit I kept from when I was a child.

Heh, how pathetic

Keep it together, Cross!

I have to calm myself, If I show up like this, he'll get suspicious. If he isn't already...

I slow my fast walking, forcing a steadier pace while choking a few deep breaths

God, why is this so terrifying?!?

I'm once again forced out of my train of thoughts as I stood in front of the library door... I was so caught up that I didn't even realize I entered the castle damn it!

Alright Crossy, deep breath. You got this

I let out a breath I don't  remember holding, taking a second to realize that Killer's nicknames were catching on to the point of including them in my pep talks...

Wait.....

How am I supposed to open the door?!

I let out a deep groan as I winge my marshmallow of a hand between the door and the handle, wincing slightly at the pressure on the wounds Geno refused to heal with magic as a way to "teach me a lesson"

Successfully doing to, I give a tug to the handle only to stop immediately at the sudden surge of pain

"Ow!" I curse, silently crying on the inside, yep, never anger Geno, got it

I was so focused on this that I didn't hear the approaching footsteps coming from the other side before it was too late,

The left door of the library opened with a low squeak that echoed in the dark moon lit hall

The warm light coming from the room contrasted deeply with the soft tones as it made way for a tall figure to perce it with its shadow...

I catch my breath in my throat, eyes focusing on the teal one frowning in confusion at my very humiliating display

Nightmare...

His icy stare seems to soften a bit as his voice echoed in a low rumble

"You could've knocked," He said, disappointed and discouragement tangled in his tone, making me realize the stupidity of the situation
