"I don't wanna go."
"You'll miss the train." Severus kissed her cheek and pushed her lightly towards the door.
"Will I see you at all during the break?"
"Probably not. But I'll write I promise." He assured. "I couldn't get your gift in time to give it to you now. I'll have it when we get back."
"I want another kiss."
He shook his head, before giving her a soft kiss on the lips.
"I love you." She whispered. He gave her one last squeeze and she left.
"Hey..... can you hear me?"
Belinda woke up from her sleep on the train to see Draco on her lap, still asleep.
"Give me a second Potter I'm on the train home."
"Get back to me later then."
"No No it's fine. Perfect actually no one's around but Draco and he's out cold. Are you okay? It's been months."
"I know. I'm sorry. It's been annoying, really. Found one hocrux and haven't even figured out how to destroy it."
"Shit..... I'm sorry I wouldn't know how to help, other than some spells. But I think you've tried that if it's been that long."
"Yeah....."
"Granger had any ideas?"
"We've..... been a little distant lately. Ron and I had a fight and he's been gone for weeks..... she misses him."
"Oh man.... You haven't heard from him?"
"No."
"He's probably hiding out. I'm sure he's fine."
"I hope so. How are you?"
"I'm okay. Passed classes as usual. But there's death eaters all over the castle now. No where is safe really. Draco and I didn't even feel like leaving Hogwarts. Even our home isn't home anymore."
"I'm sorry. Well.... I wanted to check in mostly. Update you. Let you know I'm not dead."
"It's good to hear from you Potter. Good luck."
When they got to the platform, the cousins searched for Narcissa but didn't find her.
"Mistress Lestrange!"
"What the-"
Retch came stumbling to the pair and caught his breath.
"Retch was ordered by master Malfoy to take you home."
Draco looked at his cousin and shrugged. They took the elf's hands and apparated home. Once there, they noticed it was eerily quiet.
"Masters are not home at the moment."
"Go on. I'm fine." She said as she dismissed him.
"That nap wasn't enough. I'll be in my room." Draco said to her.
"Same."
When she got upstairs, she opened the door to her room only to see Rodolphus standing there, looking out her window.
"Did you need something?!"
"No." He said not turning around.
"Then why are you in my room?"
"When's the last time you entered your mother's vault?"
"Uh.... I don't know the time she took me when she came back. A year? Wait- why are you in my room?!"
"Simply curious." He reached up to pet her parrot.
"About WHAT?"
"About my daughter's interests, perhaps intentions, that's all."
"You are so calculated." She growled.
"Perhaps that's one thing we have in common." She watched as he walked to the door. However, he locked it and she could tell he put a silencing spell over it. She forced herself to roll across the floor when his fist came towards her.
"Fast reflexes too. Come on, get up. I heard you had an abusive boyfriend. Hm? He teach you to take a punch?"
Again, she dodged another hit and attempted to run into the bathroom. She didn't know why she was so scared to fight back. He slammed into her and she hit the wall.
"I was pleased to hear you showed him out when you got sick of it. Come on, hit me. Go on."
She shook her head and almost began to cry.
"Come on! Don't tell me you're scared! You've been in fights before!"
When she tried to run, he grabbed her hair and placed her in a choke hold. She was crying now, weakly struggling against him.
"Oh come on now, fight back! You see I'm not using magic is it my raw strength that frightens you? Well, if you're a true Lestrange you must have it too, right?"
With her temper growing, she crouched down, and with all her weight flipped him onto his back. They both got up and she stared him down through her tears.
"There we go! What? That's it?"
She tackled him, tucking her leg under his and forcing him to the ground. He laughed as he stood up, pulling her up by her hair.
"Very good. Magic won't always be on your side, especially in a war."
She threw a punch but he grabbed her wrist and effortlessly flipped her over his head and onto her stomach. She gasped for air as she got up.
"You didn't think you got all your skills from your mother did you?"
She was on the attack again, and this time more feral. He blocked her hits, until eventually she had his arm locked and she kneed him in the chest.
"That's my girl! That was a good hit angel. Again!"
His girl. The nickname sent her into a whirlwind of emotions. She sent a kick to his face and he caught her ankle.
"Always turn your hip. You get more power and it's less effort. Watch me."
She didn't know he had so much combat experience.
"The elbow is the strongest part of the body. It'll be your best weapon."
"Harder!"
"Again!"
She dodged the combination he attacked her with but he was able to land a slap to her cheek, knocking her to the ground. She hadn't stopped crying the entire time.
"Good. Never again, let a man disrespect you." He said dropping a handkerchief next to her. "Same time tomorrow. All break."
He left without another word and Retch came in, almost not knowing what to do. The elf had never seen her in such a state. She was in shock with everything that had just happened. Shocked at the tears flowing out of her face. It was her inner trauma healing. She figured it was his way of bonding. He didn't hurt her at all, just flung her around and few times.
"Retch. Run me a bath."
"Right away ma'am!"
