The Familiar ringing of your phone alarm stirs you from your peace. you roll over drowsily, the sunlight streaming through your bedroom windows. Irritating your e/c eyes as you turn the irritating noise off.

"Y/N? You awake?" you hear your mom call from downstairs as you yawn and look towards the freshly ironed, sleak new uniform hanging on your doorknob.

Shit. you had completely forgotten what day it was! You quickly stand up and rush to the mirror " ah crap! Coming down soon mom!". You quickly run a brush to try and tame your h/c locks, as you do you take a moment to observe your own reflection, wondering if you'll actually fit in at this new place.

It's your senior year...and exactly 3 months since your dad left you and your mother.it hurt to think about, he was the perfect father up until when your mother had found another women's bra in her car. Even after the divorce, neither you or your mother could stand to live in the same town as him, much less the same neighborhood. So over summer you and your mother packed up everything and moved across the country to...Avonwood Fields. Ironic, considering the only "field" you had seen here so far was the worn down baseball field in the public park.

When you finally tamed your hair you held up your uniform in front of you. A white collared shirt with a red bow ribbon at the neck under a maroon blazer embroidered with the school's logo. Avonsworth Academy. Unlike the humble buildings, and generally low wages surrounding your new neighborhood, Avonsworth was practically the shining beacon of Avonwood Fields. It was apparently right on the divide between the "rich" side of Avonwood and the "poor" side of Avonwood.

So it was a gamble on whether the people at your new school would be chill...or if they'd be like the kids back at your old school. Spreading rumors about your father to the point where people were saying some sick shit...shit that made you break down in the middle of class.

You try to push that out of your head as you stare down at the final piece of the uniform, a plaid pleated skirt. It was a cute skirt...at least it would be on someone else. You sigh, remembering when you were actually confident about your body, when you weren't constantly wondering how gross people thought your legs were and how your stomach poked out.

You look around your room and spot a pair of grey baggy leggings, they would definitely clash with your uniform, but at least they covered up you legs. One thing less for people to judge you for.

Half and hour later your'e seriously regretting your decision to wear leggings in 80 degree weather. Since when is it so fucking hot in SEPTEMBER?! You look around as you walk down the sidewalk, it seems the rest of this town is slowly waking up as well. But honestly, admiring the scenery isn't making your situation any better.

Because you're fucking lost.

You swear you've passed the same dumpster three times now and somehow you never seem any closer to Avonsworth. You look at your phone nervously 7:52 am, great in less then ten minutes you'll be late on your first day to school. You steady yourself and look around, hoping to see someone to ask for directions.

As your eyes scan over the gas station currently in front of you it seems the gas station is just as abandond as the last six buildings you've passed.

You begin to lose hope until you see the sliding doors to the gas station open, and see him.

At first you couldn't tell if he was a avonsworth student or a college kid that just happened to be wearing the uniform. You quickly make your way over to him, your'e saved! Out of breath you finally reach him just as he reaches his motorcycle.
