Chapter 2

Kade Pov

I woke to a knock on my bedroom door. "Yeah". I said with a sleepy voice. "Get up. We are going out for dinner". My mom said. "Ok". I said getting up from my bed and going to my bathroom. I went back to my room and got clothes out of my dresser. Then I got dressed in a white oversized t-shirt and some jeans. I put my white shoes on and got my phone and glasses and went downstairs. When I got downstairs I went to the living room and sat down on the couch. "Hey, Kade". Gracie said looking at me. "Hey brat". I said with a smirk on my face. "Hey, don't call your sister that Kade". My mom said pointing her finger at me. I just went on my phone for a little bit before mom said to get into the car.

We are all in the car. My dad was driving, Mom in the passenger seat, Gracie in the middle, Addison on the left of Gracie, and I am on the right side. I have my earbuds in and listening to music. It didn't take long to get to where we were eating but it is my favorite restaurant. It's called Pancake world. I love pancakes. I put my earbuds away after I turned off my music and then all of us got out of the door. We all went inside and waited to be seated.

"Welcome to Pancake world, Where the best pancakes are. How many are there". The host asked. "5". My dad said. "Ok follow me this way". The host said and started walking us to the table. "Here you are the waiter will be with you shortly". The host said and gave us menus and then walked back to where she was before. We all are just looking through the menu when the waiter came up to us. "Welcome to Pancake world, What would you guys want for a drink". The waiter said and I keep looking down at the menu. "Um Water for me". My mom said. "Water". My dad said. "Water". Gracie said. "Water". Addison said. "Kade let him know what you want to drink". My mom said I looked up and there was Dexter taking our order. "J-just a water please". I said stuttering. "O-ok I will get those for you guys and then I will take your order". Dexter said walking off to get us our drinks. We are looking through our menus and we all knew what we wanted. A little bit Dexter came back with our drinks. "Here are your waters. What are you guys getting to eat". Dexter said looking at his writing pad to take our orders. "I would like pancakes, with eggs scrambled and links". My dad said. "I would like the omelet". My mom said. "I would like the chicken and waffles". Addison said. "I would like Pancakes". Gracie said. "I-I would like Pancakes, with eggs scrambled". I said looking up at Dexter and then looking away as soon as he locked eyes with me and I could feel my cheeks heat up. "Ok, that will be out shortly". Dexter said and then looked at me and nodded his head as if he is trying to tell me something. He walked away putting our orders in. "Hey, Um I have to go to the bathroom". I said and my mom and dad nodded their heads.

I got up and walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and just stayed there for a few mins until the door opened and I see Dexter open the door. "Hey, Kade I want to talk about the other night". Dexter said with a soft voice. "Ok". I said nodding my head. "Um, we were drunk and it was in the moment". Dexter said walking up to me and turning me around. "I know it was just the heat of the moment". I said and I closed my eyes. Then I felt lips on mine and I just stayed still until I kissed back. Then Dexter pulled away. "Sorry, I have to go". Dexter said and walked out of the bathroom.

I walked out of the bathroom and went back to the table where my family is sitting and sat down. "Hey". My mom greeted me. Then the waiter came up. It wasn't Dexter for some reason. "I will be your waiter from now on the waiter that you guys had gone home because he didn't feel well". The waiter said putting our food on the table. "Ok thanks for telling us. I hope he gets better". My mom said with a sweet smile. "Well enjoy your food". The waiter said and walked off.

I started to eat my food and I started thinking. Why did he go home after he kissed me? I am so confused but it was just in the heat of the moment. "Kade". My mom said my name which woke me up from my thoughts. "Yeah, mom". I said turning my head to look at her. "Did you know the waiter that we had. He seemed your age". My mom said with a smile. "He goes to my school but we never talk". I said putting some pancake in my mouth. "Oh ok, honey well finish your food". My mom said taking a bite of her food while I nodded. We all finished our food and my dad paid and then we left. We all got into the car like before and I put my earbuds in and listened to music. On the ride home I was thinking. Was it a mistake? Because I like him for a while now and I don't think it was a mistake. I like how his mouth feels on my skin and my lips. I like how his di-. I got interrupted from my thoughts when we pulled it our driveway. We aren't far from Pancake World. I could walk there.

We all got out of the car and went inside the house. I said goodnight to my family and went up to my room and shut the door. I went to my bathroom and got ready for bed. I got changed into sweats and a hoodie. When I went back into my room I heard a knock on my door. "Come in". I said and sat on my bed and I see my door open and I Addison walk in then closes my door again. "What up". I said pointing to the bed for her to sit on. "I know he goes to our school but I just want to know". Addison said looking down and fiddling with her hands. "What do you want to know Addi". I said moving closer to her. "The way you looked at him when you saw that he was out waiter you studdered and fidgety". Addison said looking back up at me. "You know how I have had a crush for two years right". I said putting a hand on her shoulder. "Yeah". Addison said smiling. "Well, he is my crush". I said blushing just saying it. "Oh, so you have a crush on the hot guy in the school Dexter Holt". Addison said looking all happy for me. "Don't tell anyone Addi. This is our little secret". I said looking into her eyes. "Got it lips are sealed". Addison said locking her lips. "Ok now leave me alone brat". I said and she left.

I went on my phone and I got a message from an unknown number.

***-***-**** : Hey

Kade: Who is this

***-***-****: Oh this is Dex

Kade: Oh how did you get my number

Dexter: I got it from the other waiter who take you guys

Kade: So you were still there when we paid

Dexter: Yeah, your phone number was on the back of the paper that you gave back to April

Kade: How did my number get on it

Dexter: I don't know but your dad paid

Kade: Ok. So why are you texting me

Dexter: I want to apologize for earlier

Kade: For kissing me in the bathroom

Dexter: Yeah don't know why I kissed you it just happened

Kade: Well thanks for the apology but I have to get to sleep

Dexter: Ok

I turned off my phone and plugged it in and take my glasses off and went under the covers and went to sleep.

Dexter Pov

I was at work earlier and I saw Kade and his family there. I work at Pancake World. But when I saw him at that table I wanted to jump out of a window. I remember what happened that night. We were both drunk and horny. But I can't stop thinking of it ever since it happened. I think of it over and over and over again. I just want it out of my mind. But again I liked it. He is cute with his black hair and blue eyes. But when we were in the bathroom together at my work I kissed him. I don't know why I kissed him but I wanted to for some reason. I think it was a mistake for sleeping with him. I have been questioning my sexuality for a couple of months now. Because when I am near Kade I get this gibbering feeling and I can't make it go away. But that night when he was laying in my bed my body moved for me. I liked it very much but I keep thinking it was a mistake because I'd never been feeling this before I laid my eyes on Kade.
