Chapter 7

~A month later~

Kade Pov

It's been a month since my mother went into a coma. It's messing with my mental health a little bit but I have Dexter by my side all the time. I moved all of my stuff from my parent's house to Dexter's house. I moved in with him and his family over two weeks ago. I get to wake up next to Dexter every morning and go to sleep with him cuddling me every night. Today is March 8th. I woke up early this morning in a half-good mood. I went to take a shower. After I got out I wrapped a towel around my waist and walked into the bedroom and I saw Dexter still asleep. I was getting clothes when I felt arms wrap around my waist. "Good morning babe". Dexter said in my ear. "Good morning, I thought you were still asleep". I said while Dexter kissed the back of my neck. "I tricked you". Dexter said. After that, I got some clothes and went into the bathroom. I got dressed in Black jeans, a green t-shirt, Dexter's hoodie, and my white shoes. I came out of the bathroom and saw that Dexter is dressed in green cargo pants with a white t-shirt and a flannel and his white shoes. "Ready to go". Dexter said smiling at me. "Just let me get my glasses and phone and then I am ready to go". I said walking over to the bedside table to get my glasses and phone. "Ok, let's go". Dexter said and we went downstairs.

We saw his family in the kitchen. We went into the kitchen and greeted his family. "Good morning". Dexter and I said. "Good morning". Arella said. "Hey bro, what do you want to do for your birthday on the 12th". Aaron said and I was confused. "Your birthday is coming up and you didn't tell me". I said looking at Dexter. "I was going to tell you". Dexter said. "Come on we don't want to be late for school". I said dragging his ass out the door.

~When they got to school~

We made it to school and we walked through the school doors. "Why did you have to drag me out of the house". Dexter whined putting his head back. "Because I didn't want us to be late for school". I said looking at him. When he tried to answer I heard a voice say my name and I turned around. "Kade". Oakley said. "Oh, Hey Oak". I said when he reached us out of breath. "Why haven't you been texting or calling me". Oakley said. "I keep forgetting to". I said and we walked. "I went to your house but you weren't there". Oakley said. "I got kicked out from my dad because he doesn't like gay people". I said. "Oh where are you staying now. You are always welcomed at my house". Oakley said. "This happened a month ago. I am living with Dexter now". I said looking at Dexter and smiling. "Oh ok". Oakley said. "Ok". I said. "Well, I have to get to class see you later". Oakley said leaving. "Babe I have to get to class too. I will see you at lunch, I love you". Dexter said kissing me. "Ok, I love you too". I said and he walked away and I walked to my class.

~After school~

It's after school and Dexter and I are driving to the hospital to see my mom. We get there and we get to her room and we just stay there for a few hours then went home after we ate dinner.

We are in our bedroom and we are cuddling on the bed. "Babe". Dexter said. "Yeah". I said. "Do you want to go to a party. Colt just texted me if we wanted to go". Dexter said. "Sure". I said. "Ok, I will text him back". Dexter said. "Ok, I am going to take a shower". I said getting up. "Ok Babe". Dexter said. I went to the bathroom and went in the shower. A couple of mins later I hear the bathroom door open and then close. Then I see the shower curtain pull open. "Can I join you"? Dexter said getting in. "Yeah". I said and he hugged me from behind.

~After the shower~

We got out of the shower and got dressed. I am wearing black jeans and a purple t-shirt and Dexter's hoodie and my white shoes. Dexter is wearing black jeans with rips at the knees a white t-shirt, a deep red color hoodie, a leather jacket, and his white shoes. "Are you sure you want to go, babe"? Dexter said looking at me with his hands on my hips. "Yes I'm sure. I need to have fun". I said looking up at him. "Ok, I am going to keep an eye on you". Dexter said hugging me. "I am going to keep an eye on you too". I said and pulled back then leaned up and kissed him. "We have to go". Dexter said letting go of me. "Ok". I said and we went downstairs and out the door.
