1500 B.Chr - China, island Thera
80 years later...
Even though she had the best of intentions, it was a terrible idea and she made a huge mistake. They would undoubtedly respond in this way, yet nobody would listen. She was now forced to see their deaths and perish with them since she was imprisoned in a cell and unable to escape. The jail door was being repeatedly banged by her as she stood in front of it.
"You must leave right away! If not, you'll all die!"
Silence.
The guards ignored her despite the fact that she knew they could hear her. She slammed against the stone wall and yelled, "Argh!"
There must be a way out of this situation. She looked up at the tiny window in the ceiling above her. She questioned whether she would fit in, but the space was insufficient. Celine was far from thin enough to pass. Damn her too big ass for this. She shouldn't have been surprised that she couldn't escape like this because only a 5-year-old kid could fit through the window.
Calling Blade would be an additional choice. She hadn't seen him since sharing a bed with him on that particular day, eighty years prior. Given that he didn't appear again, he presumably forgot about her. She also didn't make an attempt to call for him. Without him, it felt odd. Despite the fact that she genuinely despised him, she nonetheless missed him. She didn't miss having him around; it was probably only the sensation of something familiar. However she discovered that she occasionally thought of him. To ask for his help once more would be so humiliating. Before leaving her again, she knew he would laugh in her face at how she ended up being imprisoned again—she could almost hear his laugh now. She didn't want a repetition of that.
Except for Celine, no one else appeared alarmed as the ground started to vibrate once more. She had kept track of how frequently it had occurred both yesterday and today. She had counted twenty of these tiny earthquakes altogether yesterday; today, one occurred every ten minutes. There were just a few hours left before the volcano erupted. Since she had lived in this area for forty years during that time, she was aware that it would eventually happen.
She became suspicious when nothing happened for the following two hours. When she stood up and moved closer to the small window to investigate what was happening, a powerful eruption knocked her to the ground and caused her to stumble. She could hear screaming and the sounds of building stones breaking. From above, little rocks started to fall, almost hitting Celine. The prison door had partially cracked open, which Celine took advantage of by pushing it open with all of her strength. She stormed out as the door gave way. No guards were to be seen as she ran into the hall, but all of the inmates remained in their cells. She revised her strategy and looked for the keys. There was nothing but the prisoners' screams as she ran through the hallways.
She exhaled angrily, "Where are the stupid keys!?"
While it was her only option, she didn't want to abandon them to die. A guard was lying lifeless near the entrance after being struck by a large rock that was lying on the ground. To find the keys, she knelt next to him. Shortly thereafter, she discovered them on him and immediately returned to the cells, opening each one. The inmates broke out and fled for their lives. When she was certain that everyone had escaped, she left on her own.
By that time, the eruption had not abated. Chaos reigned outdoors. People were running in different directions as a result of the volcano smoke covering the entire area and limiting their vision. Before beginning to run, Celine had to cough violently. Screaming for help could be heard as she ran down an alley. It was a woman's voice. She turned right away and went in the direction of the voice. That was coming from a small house. Celine pounded on the door before a woman opened it while holding a young child in her arm.
