Celine was scared.

Scared for it all to disappear or to wake up and everything being a too wonderful dream to be true. It had been one year since Rylus and she met on the beach again.

They didn't grow but fell in love, hard. Sometimes when Celine looked in these deep brown eyes, she wondered how it was possible to feel such powerful emotions.

Back in time when she read and heard about people marrying after a short time after they met, she always believed them to be unsafe and that it wouldn't last.

But when Rylus proposed to her six months back, she didn't hesitate and embraced him. The next day, they went to church and married right away. And there wasn't a single doubt or fear that it wouldn't have been the right choice.

But as the beautiful day came to an end, and they fell asleep in each arm, the fear of it all being torn from her grew immensely; yet he remembered each day that followed.

Now, as Celine sipped on her tea, she was watching Rylus working in their garden. He knew she was so fond of flowers; he wanted to make her an entire garden full of them.

The little garden they owned was almost as aesthetically pleasing as portraits of them, but since her husband was a perfectionist, he didn't stop to make the best.

As time passed and Rylus decided to go back, he leaned down to Celine and kissed her on her forehead before holding a bucket full of all kinds of flowers.

"Only the best for my love." He said in English. At some point, Celine told him that she wasn't from here or even this time; that she made a deal with the devil.

She was expecting him to run the other way, to break her heart just as badly as Blade once did. Instead, he stayed. Not only that, he wanted to make her feel closer to her old home. So he wanted to learn English just for her.

"Words can't describe how much I love you." Rylus kissed Celine on the lips and then sat on the floor for his face-to-face with her already-grown belly and kissed it as well. "And you, too."

The day she found out she was pregnant, she was happy beyond belief. She always dreamed of being a mother, and Rylus was the one who made that dream come true. She found her true love.

Although a huge part was so happy it was Rylus, a tiny part of her grieved for it not being Blade.

If Blade knew she found him and was carrying his child? She didn't know. Sometimes she wondered what he would do. Would he be ignorant? Go berserk and kill them? Or just let her be happy for once in her life?

Nevertheless, she enjoyed every moment they spent together. She especially loved their daily walks on the beach. They always laughed or cried together, behaved like children, and healed their inner child.

Even when the whole world was against them and called them insane, they'd laugh about it and carry on as they did before. They had each other and soon, they'd be a family.

As her contractions set in a few months later, Rylus never left her side after getting a doctor they could afford. He wasn't the best, but Celine knew although they didn't live in wealth, she would choose this life and husband instead of her first one.

The pregnancy didn't go smoothly, the opposite, Celine screamed, cried for hours, and lost blood. The doctor whispered in Rylus' ear to say his last goodbyes to his wife and left them on their own because he couldn't help, intensifying Rylus' fear as he looked at her, feeling scared. After all, she looked as if she was on the brink of dying.

"Fucker!" Rylus shouted at him in anger at leaving his beloved wife. "Celine, my love." He sat beside her.

Celine, who knew where this conversation was leading, frowned at him before another contraction set in. "I'm not dying! So stop with the shitty speech and be useful down there!"
