China, 1663 B.C
The encounter with the demons had occurred a few months earlier. They had not appeared again since that time.
She was aware that Blade hadn't rescued her from this predicament. That was impossible. They had green eyes, yet he once claimed to be the master of demons that had red eyes. As a result, she received assistance from a different demon king for an unknown cause.
Up to this time, her life had not changed. She was still held hostage by the vicious clan. She was happy about the fact that they never once attempted to rape her.
As a result of the men's failure to clean their shoes before entering the room, she played with the small stones they carried in because she was so bored today.
A crow with emerald eyes swooped down to her window all of a sudden. This action immediately drew her back to that day.
She hurled the stone at the crow without giving it any thought, but it missed. The stone was captured by it. It transformed into a person, who then grabbed it with his fingers.
Celine remained motionless as she saw the crow that had just instantaneously changed into a man.
He didn't look Celine in the face at first, but she noticed his relaxed posture and the way his light blonde hair glistened in the sunlight.
He didn't even spare her a glance as he said, "Rude much, are we?"
"Who are you?" she asked, her voice trembling.
He turned his attention to her a few moments later. She finally recognized him.
"Oh, I recognize you. You are the one who rescued me out from the forest!" His reappearance astounded Celine.
He replied, "Yes, I am," and then moved position so he was nearly sitting the way a rebellious teenager would by the window.
"What's your name, and did you come to frighten me off once more before these shadows carried on with what they started?"
"Call me Cassiel, the forest's king of the demons." He got to his feet and approached her. He lifted Celine's chin to force her to look at him since she wouldn't look him in the eyes.
She speculated, "I bet that's not your true name." looking into is glowing and captivating green eyes. "Of course, it's not, dear," he said with a mocking grin as if she had just cracked a joke.
"The crow you were talking about wasn't me that day. It was one of these shadows." After taking a short breath, he went on.
"Be glad I stopped them that night or you wouldn't have recovered from it for a long time. My pets are... wild and untamed." Cassiel gave a warning.
Celine took a step back, not wanting him to touch her.
"Why are you here?" she demanded to know.
"I came here for a reason," he stated warily.
"Oh hell no. I once made a deal with one of your kind and I definitely won't make one again. So I don't care what you have to say. Just leave!" she pointed at the window where he came from.
The soldiers who had just unlocked the door and were ready to enter were suddenly stabbed in the throat by sharp knives that were fired from nowhere, and they were then hanged on the wall outside of her room before the door closed on its own.
Celine was astounded and speechless as she observed this.
"They're going to torment me now! Why did you do this?" In his face, she yelled.
