After the ball it was time for winter break. All the students would go home, some teachers too but most of them stayed to get everything ready. You and Lesso could finally have some quality time. As you two were walking down the hall you heard sniffing coming from one of the dorms. You opened a couple of doors and saw Amelia siting on her bed.

"Hey honey, what's the matter?" You asked softly. She looked up at you fell in your arms crying.

"E-everyone gets to go to their p-parents and I can't and I miss them." She said through her sobs. You felt so sorry for her.

"Oh sweetheart, I'm so sorry. I know what you're feeling but you'll just have a fun time here." You suggested.

"Can I stay with you two?" She asked referring to you and Lesso.

"Of course you can." You smiled. "In fact why don't I take you to lunch? Lesso will be waiting there." You proposed. She looked up at you and you could see a sparkle of excitement in her eyes. You took her with you to the dining hall and saw Lesso already sitting at a table.

"Amelia why aren't you home with your parents?" Lesso asked when you reached her. The girl who was standing next to you looked at the ground, probably trying to hide her tears. You whispered in Lesso's ear what happened with Amelia's parents. "Oh I'm sorry Amelia I didn't know." She said sincerely.

"It's alright. Miss y/n said I could stay with you guys." She said. Lesso laughed while nodding her head.

"In fact why don't we go on a picnic right now. We can go to y/n's favorite spot." The redhead said. You loved that spot, it was where you had asked her to be your girlfriend. Amelia jumped up and down in excitement. You got everything ready and took Amelia to the spot.

"Wow! It's beautiful here. We're not allowed to go this far without supervision." Amelia said.

"Whenever you want to come here all you have to do is ask." You told her. She hugged you. You spend the rest of the day together, laughing and talking. You really enjoyed each other's presence. Later that evening you and Lesso were getting ready for bed. "There is something I want to ask." You began.

"You want to adopt Amelia." She replied. It wasn't a question but a statement like she knew you wanted that.

"Yeah, how did you know?" You asked.

"I see the way you look at her, the way you talk to her and act when she's around. You're so protective of her, I love seeing the two of you together." She explained.

"And what do you want?" You asked her. She hadn't made it clear wether she agreed or not.

"I want to give her a family, and I want her to be ours." She said. You hugged her happily.

"You're really sure?" You asked. She nodded her head, confirming it. "We can tell her tomorrow but for now let's go to sleep." You suggested. You went to sleep that night dreaming about the life you could have in the future.

In the morning you got ready and went to Amelia's dorm. "Amelia honey, it's time to wake up." You said. She groaned as she sat up. "Morning sleepyhead." You said.

"Morning miss y/n" she replied.

"You don't have to call me 'miss' now, you can just call me 'y/n' or whatever you want." You corrected. She smiled as she nodded. "Now you should get ready, Lesso is waiting and we have something to ask you." You said. You walked out to give her privacy. After a while all three of you sat down at the table with breakfast.

"You said you wanted to ask me something?" Amelia said unsure.

"Yes but you don't have to worry, it's nothing bad and you can say what you want we won't get mad whatever your answer will be." You began. She nodded. "So Nora and I talked and we decided that we'd really like for you to join our family." You said carefully. Her mouth fell open.
