6 months

Starting your third trimester was a blessing and a curse. You were almost done with this pregnancy which was about time because you were uncomfortable 24/7. You loved your baby but he or she definitely got Lesso's never behavior. You were constantly being kicked, your baby using your bladder as their personal punching bag. Your back hurt and your breasts ached. Lesso had been super busy the last few days which resulted in you almost not seeing each other. You missed her terribly but didn't want to bother her as you knew she was preparing to leave. You hadn't done any scans of the baby, afraid that if magic was used it could harm the baby. You didn't know whether it was a boy or a girl but you knew that you'd love your baby with your whole heart.

8 months and 2 weeks

It's been more than 8 months since you got pregnant. You couldn't believe you were almost done with this. You were so excited to meet your little baby. Your belly was bigger than a watermelon and you had stretch marks all over your belly. You haven't properly spoken to Leonora, she's been working as hard as she can for more than a month now. You only see her in the dining hall if you're lucky. When she comes to bed, you're already asleep and when she leaves again it's very very early in the morning. You were walking around in the garden when you felt your stomach tighten. A cramp you thought so you walked further. When it was time for your class you went to your classroom. You were giving directions to your students when you felt it. Water trickling down your legs. You looked down, seeing the puddle with a hint of red and knew your water had broken. You had been having contractions instead of cramps all along. You calmly told your students that everything was all right when you saw their worried faces. You cleaned the puddle up with a wave of your hand and continued your lesson. Every now and then you'd stop and wince when a contraction came. Your students cooperated even though they were worried. Eventually the lesson ended and you went back to your room to sit there for a bit. You tried to breathe through the pain even when it was becoming harder and harder to do so. Soon lunchtime arrived and you went to the dining hall. You waddled in and made yourself a plate. You then went to your seat and sat down next to Dovey, Leonora as expected wasn't there. You winced and focused on your breathing when another contraction hit.

"Y/n you alright?" Dovey asked. You waited to answer until the pain subsided.

"Yes I'm fine. Just contractions." You answered and started eating.

"Contractions? You're in labor? For how long?" She asked frantically.

"Hmm, a few hours. My water broke during second period." You continued eating, not aware of the look on Dovey's face.

"Why aren't in the medical office or in bed? Does Lesso know? Where even is she, her wife is in labor!" She began to get more and more worked up.

"No idea. I'm fine though, they're still like miles apart." You said before stopping as another contraction took over. You began feeling faint, you were dizzy and nauseous and everything felt kind of distant. "Dove I don't feel so good." You mumbled before the world went black.

The next thing you remember is waking up in your room. You opened your eyes, looking around. Everything was still kind of blurry.

"Y/n? Hey can you hear me?" You heard a voice call from the other side. You turned your head and faced your wife who was apparently sat beside you. "Hey princess, there you are. How are you feeling?" She asked softly.

"O-okay." You croaked. Your throat was dry so she quickly got you some water which actually made you feel a little better.

"Do you remember what happened?" You thought about it before shaking your head slightly. "Okay well you passed out. You were talking to Dovey, she was freaking out about you being in labor. The doctor guessed it was the heat and dehydration that made you pass out." She said carefully. You nodded. "Why didn't you tell me you were in labor y/n?" She asked, you could see the worry on her face but before you could answer a contraction hit. This one was far more painful than your last ones and Lesso was quickly holding your hand, rubbing your back while whispering sweet words into your ear. It passed after a minute and you finally answered.
