"Katie!" Jace called out frantically as he ran upstairs and into the room that Katie usually stayed in.

The cause of her scream was quickly identified as Jace realized the room was swarmed with cops, guns at the ready. Katie was in handcuffs, breathing hard with a murderous look. A particularly buff officer held her handcuffs from behind as she occasionally yanked at them trying to free herself.

Jace stood in stunned silence for a moment, baffled by the police's ability to sneak in and go undetected. Before he could do anything, a pair of muscular arms grabbed onto him, locking his wrists into a set of handcuffs. Struggling and pulling, Jace attempted to get out of the cop's grip but was unsuccessful.

"You two," the head officer began in an annoyed tone, "have caused plenty of trouble and are illegally staying in this house. You are being arrested and taken to jail, anything you say or do can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to remain silent."

"Well what if I don't give a damn what you say about me in court?" Katie snapped angrily, earning a what the hell are you doing glare from Jace.

"I would suggest," One of the cops sauntered toward her, looking smug, "that you keep quiet."

"I would suggest that you get a life and stop being an asshole." Katie retorted defiantly.

"You are seriously pushing it right now." The cop warned in an edgy tone.

"And you're seriously annoying." Katie assessed in an overly sassy tone with a smug and annoyed look.

The cop glared at her darkly but addressed his officers instead, "Men, escort them from the premises."

Being forcefully yanked out of the police car, Jace and Katie were dragged into the station, which was also the jail.

"We got two more." The head officer announced to the pudgy man that sat behind the desk sipping a long-cold coffee.

"Alright," the pudgy man glanced up, briefly assessing the two, "they're gonna have to share a cell, we've got too many today."Jace's cheeks turned slightly pink, Katie on the other hand remained expressionless.

"In here." The cop instructed, jerking Katie and Jace to the only available cell.

After removing their handcuffs, the cop quickly tried to leave the cell but wasn't fast enough. Katie charged after him, launching herself onto his back and somewhat growling.

"Let us go!" Katie threatened, wrapping her arms tightly around the officers neck. Other cops swarmed the cell, prying her off his back as she kicked and writhed, desperate for freedom. She didn't do well being confined.
Not claustrophobic, just unwilling to be stripped of her freedom.

As the cell door was slammed shut Katie stood at the bars gripping them with white knuckles and glaring at the officers with such fury that murders would've run scared. The cops filed out with unnerved looks as they one by one caught Katie's ominous glare.

She sighed in anger, in such away that it was almost a snarl. Once the station was empty, she sank to the floor, leaning against the bars, teeth gritted and a murderous expression covering her features.

"What now?" Jace asked with a shrug, sitting against the wall opposite her.

"We escape." Katie stated blatantly, giving him a duh look.

"How?" Jace furthered the question, not clear on her plan for freedom.

She sighed, rolling her eyes, "I don't know, that's what I'm thinking about."
