Feeling adventurous, Katie grabbed a few things that looked cool, and headed to the dressing room. First she pulled on a pair of white skinny jeans, a sparkly gold tank top and gold flats. Doing a 360 in the mirror she decided against the outfit. Too much glitter, she thought, wrinkling her nose.
Grabbing a pink skirt and black t-shirt, she spun again in the mirror. Doesn't look rich enough, she thought with a shake of her head.
Next she picked up a ombré blouse and acid wash jeans, pulling them on with a pair of bedazzled combat boots. No, definitely not, she thought, eyes wide in disgust with a grimace.
Katie switched into a spaghetti strap white tank top with gems on the straps and a pair of black leather pants. These pants are way too tight, Katie thought in irritation, quickly taking them off. With a sigh she grabbed the next outfit. She slipped on the black skirt and daisy print crop top with a pair of gold studded converse.
"Hmmm," Katie considered with a slight smile, "this could work."
She opened the door, showing Jace the outfit, "What do you think?"
"Spot on," Jace nodded, "you've got the outfit now to pass as a rich girl, without looking too stuck up."
Katie laughed, flipping her hair sarcastically, "Glad I don't look too stuck up." They paid for the outfit and Katie followed Jace to the next step of her transformation into a rich girl for a day.
"Where are we going?" Katie asked as the strode through the mall.
"Hairstylist." Jace replied with a smirk, "don't worry they won't cut your hair."
Katie rolled her eyes, "what are they gonna do then?"
"Style your hair," Jace said with a chuckle, "hence the term, hairstylist."
Katie glared at him playfully, giving him a friendly punch in the arm, "Whatever, know-it-all."

"Any particular hair style, sweetie?" The hairstylist asked as Katie sat down in front of the mirror.
Katie shook her head, suddenly feeling shy in her lack of knowledge of such things, "No, Jace did you have one in mind?" Jace walked over, whispering direction to the hairstylist who grinned.
"Ok," the stylist nodded, "I think that'll look great on her."
Jace nodded, quietly adding, "Me too."
The stylist turned back to Katie and began to brush and straighten her unruly mane of hair. Just getting her hair straight took half an hour due to all the tangles and the thickness. The stylist sighed in relief, stepping back to admire Katie's now straightened hair.
"Ok, now I can do the hairstyle." The stylist mumbled to herself. Grabbing her curling wand, the stylist began adding perfect curls to Katie's hair, until it was precisely and perfectly curled in medium size curls. Next she pulled a few strands and began to create a braid going around the side of Katie's head. She pinned it at the back and did a second braid across the other side. Meeting the braids in the middle, the stylist twisted them into a braided bun, and stepped back to admire her work.
"Perfect!" The stylist cheered, handing Katie a mirror and showing her the style.
Katie's eyes lit up with happiness, "Thank you!"
"No problem," the stylist smiled, "have a wonderful day!"
"I will, you too!" Katie called as she and Jace left the hairstylists. Katie's face illuminated with a smile as they walked throughout the mall. This is great! Who wouldn't love this, it's totally a fairy tale! Katie thought joyfully as she played with the ends of her curled hair.
