"Well now that I have my wallet again, we don't have to steal. I have plenty of cash." Jace held up his wallet lazily as he lounged on the couch.
Katie glanced over from the kitchen, where she sat on the counter playing with Tux. She nodded but said nothing as she continued to play with her favorite stray cat.

"What should we buy?" Jace asked in a bored tone. They had nothing to do today, the cops hadn't returned yet and neither of them was feeling especially hungry.

Katie's eyes lit up with an idea, "I've always wanted to go on a boat!"

Jace smiled, laughing slightly at her happy childish grin. "Alright, we'll rent a boat, but we should go shopping first cause boats aren't fun in jeans." Jace remarked, pointing toward the ripped up jeans that Katie always wore.

"K." Katie hopped off the counter and walked to the door, "Lets go then."

"What exactly do people wear on boats?" Katie asked, scanning the store suspiciously, looking a little lost.

Jace shrugged, "Usually a swimsuit with shorts or something."

She nodded, eyeing the many racks of clothes blankly. Jace smirked, holding back a laugh, she had no idea what he was talking about. She'd always just worn jeans, t-shirts, sneakers and a beat up jacket. She wasn't experienced in the art of dressing for the occasion.

"Come on, I'll help you," Jace suggested, motioning for her to follow as he lead the way to the shorts section.

Pulling a few pairs that looked about the right size, Jace handed the clothes to Katie and pointed her toward the dressing room.

"Shorts are weird." Katie remarked after a few minutes as she finally emerged, having found a pair she didn't totally hate. Jace swirled his finger, motioning for her to do a 360. She spun with an eye roll, showing the faded blue and teal ombré shorts with slight fringe on the edge.

"Nice." Jace nodded, handing her a few swimsuits of various styles to try on as well.

"Ugh." Katie groaned, taking the clothes and disappearing back into dressing room or room of annoying clothes as Katie referred to it.

She refused to come out until she found one she didn't hate. Which she eventually did. After about 10 she did hate.

"Ok." she came out doing the customary 360, showing the ruffled black tankini, with a sweetheart neckline. Jace gave her a thumbs up as she went back to the dressing room to put back on her normal clothes.

Emerging from the dressing room, Katie handed him the shorts and tankini and they headed to the check out.

After the clothing store they went to the grocery store, buying anything that looked appealing.

"I can't believe how easy everything is with money!" Katie marveled, wide eyed as they left the store, grocery and clothing bags adorning their arms.

Jace laughed, "Yep, there's definitely some upsides."

"Thank you sir." Jace nodded, heading toward the dock, boat keys in hand. Katie kept fiddling with her shorts, not accustomed to having shorts instead of her ripped up jeans.

Jace started up the boat, Katie taking the passenger seat, and pulling her hair into a messy ponytail. After a few minutes of the boat sailing smoothly out to the middle of the lake, Jace had an idea.

"You wanna try wake-boarding?" Jace nodded toward the cords and board at the back of the boat.

"Ok." Katie agreed with a challenge accepted look. The boat slowed to a stop in the middle of the enormous lake. Jace began to hook up the wakeboard as Katie shimmied out of her shorts leaving just the tankini.
