"I don't want to open the door!" Y/n shouted barricading her door with chairs and her own strength. "Y/n open this door right now!" Yut Lung shouted turning the door knob but had no luck opening the door. "I don't want to study anymore it's too hard!" Y/n whined sitting on the floor in front of the pile of chairs. Yut Lung had spent the last few weeks teaching Y/n all sorts of subjects, but Y/n disliked how boring the lessons were, and there were loads of things she didn't understand even if Yue broke it down into parts.

Yut Lung sighed and turned around only to glare at Sing who pretended not to know what was going on. "Will you help me?" Yut Lung questioned Sing with an annoyed tone. "She's your problem not mine." Sing laughed covering his mouth. Yut Lung let out a deep breath. "No one is laughing besides you." The boy smirked at Sing who rolled his eyes. "That's because no one is here besides me and you stupid." Sing frowned crossing his arms.

Y/n sat on the floor, enjoying the silence. Lately a lot of incidents had been happening in Yue's mansion. Y/n was just waiting for the day it was her turn. She'd overheard a conversation Yue had with Sing about the Vietnamese. There was no doubt they were the cause of all the ruckus lately. Y/n stood up and walked over to the oversized window next to her messy bed. Opening the windows she felt the wind blow on her face. The wind wasn't blowing harshly, it was the right amount to get a breeze for a second or two.

Y/n watched as the sun slowly set. Then something caught her eye. Right on a building was someone holding a sniper. "Yut Lung move!" Y/n yelled. "What?" Yut Lung whispered under his breath. Y/n closed the window and the curtains quickly scrambling to turn off the lights. After she did a loud gunshot was fired into the pile of chairs she'd used to barricade the door. Wood went flying everywhere making Y/n cover her face.

"What was that?" Sing questioned having a gun ready in his pocket. Yut Lung scowled and started banging on the door. Thanks to the chairs barricading the door, the bullet didn't make it through the door. Y/n covered her ears waiting for another shot, but nothing else was heard after that. The girl sat up and took a deep breath. Y/n was getting used to the constant violence happening. This occurrence was nothing new.

Y/n moved the pieces from chairs out of the way while crouching just in case someone was still there. Y/n turned the doorknob and came out crawling. Yut Lung looked down at her and almost sighed of relief in front of her. "Jeez what did you do to them?" Y/n joked standing up and wiping her hands from the leftover wood she'd touched. Yut Lung clicked his tongue. "This is getting out of hand." Sing brought up no longer goofing around.

Yut Lung turned to him and slightly looked at the floor. He wanted to wait longer for Y/n's sake. Things were only going to get worse from that point on. Yut Lung didn't want to be lovey dovey, but he also didn't want Y/n to die, and have him be the reason for it.

Yut Lung looked at Y/n who looked up at him. "Can you handle getting blood on your hands?" The boy asked in a serious tone. "What?" Y/n questioned wondering if Yut Lung would let her join him. "Wait Yut Lung don't involve people who have nothing to do with this!" Sing interfered. The poor boy didn't want anymore unnecessary losses. "Shut it! She's already involved more than you think!" Yut Lung yelled pointing a finger in the girl's face.

Sing looked down at the floor knowing Yut Lung was right, but he couldn't let go of the fact that Y/n was simply a girl who came to do her job. Just like Yut Lung he didn't want her to die, if she did it'd cause more controversy given the fact that Y/n belonged to the Vietnamese by a mark that couldn't be undone. If she did die Sing would have even more guilt put on his back. "I don't mind dying." Y/n suddenly said leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.

Sing looked up at her and Yut Lung wanted to argue, but before he could Y/n began speaking again. "My life has been nothing but an illusion. Right?" The girl asked giving them both a smile. "My birth was planned, and so was what I would do. Which is clothes designing, and making. I only exist for the sake of others. My existence means nothing."

Yut Lung suddenly felt a pull of attraction towards Y/n that was stronger than before. He realized that both him and Y/n were both born for the sole purpose of being a tool for others.

"I'm tired of it." Y/n admitted letting out a sigh. "I don't know how I feel about dying. All I know is I wouldn't mind if I dropped dead right now. If you want me to help I will. It's getting too dangerous to walk around not knowing some knowledge of self defense anyhow."

Sing glanced at Yut Lung who glanced at him back.

Is this why you found a fascination in my eyes?

"If you say so." Sing decided. Yut Lung glared at him. "Come over to my place and we'll come up with your role." Sing instructed. Y/n simply nodded.

Sing sighed and heard footsteps approaching him. He turned around to see Yut Lung outside. "It's dangerous for you to be out here." Sing brought up shoving his hands in his pockets. "You won't betray me will you?" Yut Lung asked crossing his arms. Sing snorted. "I'm more worried about you betraying me if anything." The boy laughed. "Why did you let her?" Yut Lung asked. Sing turned around to look at Yut Lung. "The way she worded things made it seem like she wanted revenge. She's been a living doll her whole life. I'd be mad if I was in her shoes too. Besides, she may be your only chance of survival."

Yut Lung looked at Sing with an offended look on his face. "Why did you word it like that?" He asked angrily. "Let me put it this way, the only reason they're mixed with us anyways is because they want more power. Everything happening with Banana Fish gave them an opening, and the aftermath of it wiped out a whole mafia, that's why they're picking on us. They hold more of a grudge towards you. But if my long term plan pays off you might come out alive." Sing explained.

Yut Lung sighed. "Just don't let anything happen to her." The long haired boy turned around and began walking away. "You really see yourself in her don't you?" Sing asked slightly smiling. Yut Lung paused and turned to Sing. "Yes, I do." Yut Lung weirdly had a smile on his face which made Sing wonder if he was planning something. He decided not to ask about it and began walking away.

Y/n sat at the dinner table with her head laying on its side on top of the table. "Y/n dear are you alright?" The old woman questioned putting a hand on her back. "Mhm." Y/n muttered fidgeting with her fingers.

The old woman sighed and decided to head back into the kitchen. Y/n waited until she was gone and sat up staring at the vase full of flowers in front of her. Y/n took out a beautiful carnation flower and took in it's beauty, ruffling it's pedals gently with her finger. "Even a flower has more meaning in this world than I do."
