Y/n stood inside an old broken down hotel. Sing sat on some broken stairs which were still pretty stable. An elevator hung from three thick strings, but they had wires coming out of them here and there. Y/n looked at Sing who seemed to be lost in thought. The girl walked over to him, hoping she didn't catch him at a bad time.
"Are you sure about this?" Sing asked looking down at Y/n from the stairs. "About what exactly?" Y/n questioned with her hands in her jacket pockets. Sing stood up and walked down the stairs. "Look, being a part of one mafia while betraying another isn't child's play." Sing frowned standing in front of the girl. "Right. I know that. If that's true to everyone, wouldn't it be better if I became a spy for you guys?" Y/n asked. Sing crossed his arms. "What are you implying?" Sing questioned with an annoyed look.
"I'm naïve apparently." Y/n spoke. "What if I use that to my advantage?" The girl asked. Sing raised an eyebrow. "If they know I'm naïve, then me wanting to get away from Yut Lung because of all the violence going on would be natural right?" Sing sighed and set his arms to his sides. "Didn't you try that already with Seven? It didn't work." "But there wasn't much going on at the time. If he knows I know the truth about the Vietnamese and me being a part of them, then he also knows about the dangers of betraying your own mafia for another, and I know Seven knows Yue told me about that." Y/n explained.
"I just want to clean up the mess Arthur made and be done and over with this. But I guess it'll be a longer time before that happens." Sing said. "Then start the plan now." Y/n replied. Sing looked at Y/n as if she was the stupidest person on earth. "Do you really think you can handle it as you are now?" Sing asked. "Not really a believer then huh?" Y/n slightly laughed. "You clean up whatever it is you want to clean up. I'll give us a head start. I may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but I know someone who'll believe me and convince Seven I'm telling the truth. I also have an accomplice. I know they're mad too." Y/n spoke.
"I'll give you one chance. If you mess up you're going to follow my orders from then on." Sing replied with a sigh at the end. Y/n laughed. "Who's this accomplice?" Sing asked. "Do you know Seven's son?" Y/n asked. "Yes." Sing replied. "He's my half brother obviously, and he hates Seven too because he says he basically drove his mother to suicide." Y/n explained taking a step back. Y/n looked past Sing at something. There was a red-like laser. Y/n could see it even if it wasn't supposed to be seen.
"Sing someone's trying to assassinate you." Y/n muttered with a smile on her face. Sing thought she was joking. "Sing move to your right." Y/n mumbled. Sing slowly moved, and sure enough a red dot was right smack in the middle of Y/n's forehead.
Y/n tried to see where it was coming from put Sing pulled her to the side by grabbing her arm harshly. There was a loud gunshot which made Y/n jump even if she knew it was coming. Y/n kept looking at the spot where the gunshot had come from. Someone came out, Y/n knew exactly who it was. "We have to get out of here." Sing muttered still pulling at Y/n's arm. Y/n followed Sing out of the hotel.
"Did you manage to see who it was?" Sing asked Y/n as they tried to blend in with the crowd. "It was Seven. He probably heard." Y/n clicked her tongue. Sing sighed. "That plan was never going to work in the first place."
The two made it to Chang Dai, keeping a low profile as they entered. "Let's go up top." Sing said leading Y/n to a hidden ladder just behind Chang Dai. Y/n looked up nervously as Sing pulled down the ladder from a string attached to the bottom. Sing smirked. "Scared of heights?" He questioned. "No. But didn't we just get attacked? Wouldn't this just give him an invitation to make our brains slushies?" Y/n asked with a confused look on her face.
"No, there's already too much violence here, and even if they don't care about the rest of the innocent people here they do care about the police finding about all their scandals." Sing explained. "They probably won't shoot us if we're here."
"You seem to know your stuff." Y/n nervously laughed climbing up after Sing made it to the top. "Your plan was full of potholes." Sing laughed looking down at the people walking around. "Shut up." Y/n groaned embarrassed. "Your accomplice is Seven's son?" Sing questioned thinking up a possible plan. Y/n nodded.
"He doesn't like being in the Mafia either does he?" Sing asked looking at Y/n. Her eyes never seemed to meet his. But Sing could see the exact same feelings in Y/n's eyes that he always seems to see in Yue's. Y/n simply shook her head. "Are you okay?" Sing asked getting worried.
"Who was Seven's target? Me or you?" The girl asked turning to look at Sing. Sing thought about it and came to a conclusion. "Both of us. If even one of us is out of the picture there's less work for them to do." Sing explained. "So I'm not useful to them anymore." Y/n sighed. They stood in silence enjoying the sunset. Even if their way of thinking was worlds apart they could still feel comfortable standing in silence.
"Can I ask you something?" Sing asked sitting down and leaning against the concrete border. The border had short cracks that soon lined with longer ones going further up top. "Sure." Y/n replied sitting on the border, facing the opposite direction of Sing. "How do you feel?" The boy asked.
Y/n didn't know in what sense he asked the question, but said the first thing that came to her head. "Like a useless idiot." She replied with a laugh. "I may have been useful to others. But I was useful only because of my naivety and because I was stupid. I am stupid. I don't even know how to count high numbers or how to write a proper essay, I don't know how to read or when to be suspicious. I'm just an imbecile."
"All of that is true. But it wasn't your fault. Let's be honest with each other, you're nothing but a toy." Sing replied. "Right." Y/n sighed turning and looking down at Sing. "Continue being a toy." Sing said looking up at Y/n. "What why?" Y/n asked with a confused look.
"Be a useful toy. Continue with them, go to the Vietnamese even if you don't want to. Tell them you don't want to die and that you'll plead loyalty to them even if you hate them. The Vietnamese are aware of the power they hold, and they know everyone who comes across them knows. We'll split your idea into parts. You are still going to be a spy. You're going to betray me and Yue with a fake heist. They'll pressure me into joining them along with remaining gangs. You'll destroy them from the inside." Sing explained.
Y/n thought for a moment. "What if I die before that?" The girl asked. "Yut Lung and I will make sure that doesn't happen. We're putting you in enough danger already. If we think you'll die at some point we'll intervene. No more questions got it?" Sing asked shoving his hands in his pockets and standing up.
"I'm not trying to be harsh with you. After all none of this is your fault. But I need you to understand that if you don't go in with guts you're not going to make it very far." Sing sighed trying to sympathize. "I understand. I'm guessing that means I shouldn't get too attached then?" Y/n asked. "I said no more questions." Sing whined.
Y/n laughed. "Sorry, Sorry."
