It has been a relatively uneventful few months with the exception of a few events. Firstly, the shinobi academy started in January (when he was 5). The academy was my first step to becoming a full-fledged shinobi, and I was really excited to begin.

On the first day, we met the teachers and introduced ourselves. The teachers didn't outwardly react when it was my turn, but I could see in their eyes that they held distaste and prejudice toward me, one was more extreme than the other.

The teachers also allowed us to greet and become acquainted with each other. Something that surprised me was that every clan heir from every prominent clan in the village was in my class. The Hyuga, Nara, Akimichi, Uchiha, Yamanaka, Aburame, and Inuzuka heirs were present.

Luckily, I already knew two people from my class, Ino and Hinata, so I wasn't completely alone. Hinata was very shy though and she had a hard time socializing with others, even more so with me. She had a bad stutter and couldn't keep eye contact when she tried to hold a conversation with me. Ino on the other hand was a social butterfly, talking to everyone and she even made a new friend named Sakura already. She did try to include me as well, but the other students avoided me because of bias spread by their parents.

There were two boy that were friends of Ino's that didn't hold scorn toward me. Shikamaru Nara and Choji Akimichi, two young clan heirs, were open to conversing with me. Shikamaru came from a clan with a kekki genkai to control shadows. His clan was also known for being extremely smart and strategic, but it comes at the cost of being extremely lazy. Choji's clan had the ability to turn calories into chakara. His clan was known for their near insatiable appetite and great physical strength. All three of us became quick friends even though they knew very little about me.

We didn't start any lessons the first day, it was really just a day to become accustomed to our new environment. The lessons began the next day, which in all honesty was mind-numbingly boring as I had already known all the information taught in much more detail then explained. It only took a few days to figure out that this was a complete waste of my time, so I just started to send a kage bushin everyday to hold my place.

Though I had a full understanding of the material, despite the attempted sabotage against me by the teachers, I chose to stay in the middle of the class rankings to avoid unwanted attention. If I was at the top of the class, the students, teachers, and civilian council would all be breathing down my neck, trying to find a way to dispose of or discredit me. While if I was at the bottom of the class, not only would I hate defacing myself, but I would also be playing into the hands of every fool that was trying to impair my success.
