(Hinata and Naruto's gennin outfits and Naruto's sword)
*Third Person POV*
The week leading up to team placements was relatively calm. Hinata and Naruto could be seen training as usual, but they also took some time to relax because they knew that being on a team and doing missions could get hectic.

They both made sure they were stocked up on weapons, poisons, durable clothes, medicine, and even rations to keep with their equipment incase they needed a quick meal. Naruto had decided to use a sword from his homeland that had been his mother's, which he found in his parent's old house. (See picture above)

Naruto also made sure to spend as much time with Hana, Anko, Kurama, and Ino as he could cause he didn't know what his team's schedule was like or if he would have much free time. He wasn't as worried about trying to make time for Hinata because she would be on his team and he would be with her most of the time anyway. He was being as discreet as possible that he was excluding her, it was supposed to be a surprise.

All of the girls, aside from Kurama, were trying to make a schedule to evenly split Naruto's time when he was free. It was hard considering their lack of knowledge about Naruto and Hinata's senseis and team dynamics.

Eventually, it came upon the night before they would have to go to the academy and get placed. Everyone was sitting in the living room, basking in the time they could spend together, and chatting quietly to not disturb the peaceful atmosphere.

"I just hope that my team and sensei are competent, but considering I'll probably have Kiba as a teammate, something is bound to go wrong at some point," Hinata groused, which made Naruto grin conspiratorially while hiding his mouth behind his tea cup.

"I'm sure it won't get too bad, just remember if he try's anything to send him to the hospital. He should get the idea then," Anko soothed, trying to lift Hinata's spirits.

"Yeah, you're right. I need to make the most of it. Maybe my sensei will be able to keep him in line  and can teach me some new techniques," Hinata relented, relaxing back into the couch and taking a bite of her dango.

"That's the spirit. You're going to be stuck with your team, at least until after the chunnin exam, so it's best to go into this with a positive mindset," Hana added, petting one of her ninken that was laying his head across her lap.

After that pep talk, it wasn't long before they all decided to go to bed. It was getting late and they had an early start to the morning. Naruto gave each of them a quick kiss before they entered their room and pet each of the Haimaru brothers. He retired to his room where he spent a little while talking and cuddling with Kurama before he finally went to bed.

The next morning saw the house bustling with energy. Hinata and Naruto were getting ready, making sure they had all their equipment, while Hana and Anko were breathing down their necks asking a million times if they were sure they had everything and listing off items. Anko, of course, was also teasing them about their new outfits to try and break the tension. (See pictures above)
